So you agree that the votes from over 700 polling units do not significantly affect an election and that subsection 4 is satisfied?
It affected it and propped up a new winner

So how substantial is overvoting in favour of the dancing governor that made the Election Tribunal award victory to the runner-up?
He lost 110,000 votes while apc lost 60,000 votes after the deduction of invalid votes

In other words, PDP candidate with 50,000 more invalid votes was declared loser, while the runner-up APC candidate with less invalid votes was declared winner. Just like that? It's injustice against the dancing governor - Jankara or Ochanja head bridge market type - because both parties had votes from overvoting, therefore rerun of election in the areas where overvoting for both parties occurred should have been ordered by the Tribunal.

Section 136 that governs this scenario doesnt prescribe a rerun but declaration of the runner up.again, rerun was not part of apc prayers.the court cannot give you what you didnt ask.it either answers or rejects your prayer

In this case it's the opposition that over voted itself out.

Too much of everything isn't good

This is what am saying concerning the presidential election.
Nigeria politics is like a cacus if the want you to join their group they will let you join if they don't want you you can never join no Matter how popular or influential you think you are.
Yes obi is a good candidate for the president seat but he can never beat asiwaju this election. Lai lai it will never be possible.
Peter obi is just like a church rat in front of Tinubu when it comes to politics
Tinubu is more powerful Among the politicians
Tinubu will surely win the election take it or leave it
Powerful but you still queue to buy fuel at high price. Insecurity, hunger every where. I don't understand why your job is to make a politician powerfull while you are powerless. Where have Buhari taken Nigeria to? To no where.

What if the APC manufactured the over voting and added it to the ballot boxes?I also remembered when votes were been collated and APC scuttle the process and a rerun was announced which made APC to use incidence forms to rig the rerun election.
This could be a rigging done by APC

. I have perused the judgement and the only thing that is funny there is "lo lo lo Buga win' Apart from that the judgement is in order. Oyetola went to court to prove overvoting and non compliance with electoral laws. The majority judges were fully convinced that he proved his case beyond the reasonable doubt. The electoral laws state that in a case there are overvoting and non compliance all the results in the affected polling units must be cancelled. In my opinion it was INEC that created issues in the Osun election by issuance of CTC results of the election that contained overvoting and irregularities. As for the forgery the TB confirmed forgery but claimed Adeleke still has o level result though it certicate is questionable for nobody will issue certificate for a result with F9 all round. APC will challenge this forgery conclusion at the AC and the entire minority judgement too.
Are you saying Adeleke had F9result all round in his o/level? If this is true then it’s a shame for anyone to support such a person to assume leadership of a state. F9 all roundhuh That is very terrible.

A rat calling himself a rabbit is a colossal mistake and that should stop.

Now that u guys have made Tinubu bigger than everyone in this country, that is exactly what is going to make him lose. When u compare him too big and too mighty that he can't be defeated, what awaits him is far dangerous and unspeakable until after the election.

Lastly,Tinubu would lose comfortably and shamefully.
Be like say u think say Nigeria election na SUG election abi

Trash as usual. Tinubu is powerful in your South west. I even wish they declare Tinubu a winner and see if there will still Nigeria for him to govern...

Guy cool down, Tinubu is no body as long as Nigeria is concerned.

We are wise now!!

When I saw the “Go lo lo lo” and “Buga won” references, it dawned on me that the judgment was written and given to Justice Kume to read.

I cannot, and will never believe, that a Judge who is from Benue and does not understand Yoruba, will be making reference to a Yoruba line in a song in the most trivial of manners for a case as serious as the mandate of the generality of Osun people.

I’m ashamed that something like this can still happen now, when we thought our judiciary was beginning to get things right.

I’m no longer surprised how Akpabio and APC governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom got their judgments.
Go and rest.

We, the Osun indigenes are satisfied.
Don't cry more than the bereaved.
Concentrate on what is happening in your own state.
Re: Osun Tribunal: What The Law Says In Case Of Over Voting (picture) by Nobody: 5:40am On Jan 28, 2023
My girlfriend's dad is a politician in Osun and an indigen of the state. After the results was announced that dancer won, he swear that election was massively rigged and that Adeleke will be removed eventually. To be honest I didn't believe it and if judgement of yesterday was just plain pronouncement I wouldn't but when a judge didn't just rule Adrleke's victory invalid but still get time to say
"Respondent cannot go lo lo lo lo and Buga won" then it down on me that the only thing that can ever help Adeleke to dance to any music again in that government house is Atiku's victory next month. It's not surprising how Tinubu quickly responded to the judgement.
That being said, I must confess my sorry for Obidients here, they are known to always cry more than the bereaved whenever the matter concern Tinubu. I've read their many comments and I can only pity them more.

The lead judgment of the Osun Tribunal was hinged on over voting.

But what did the 2022 Electoral Act say about over voting?

Read the provision of the Electoral Act on over voting as captured in section 51 and decide for yourself if justice was truly served in Osun or not.

Stop confusing people and stop misleading people. What does the law states in case of over-voting at the time if declaring results and before making a final announcement of the winner, is different from what the law states after winner has been declared and a petition sent to the tribunal. Read both situations.

These corrupt Judges are playing with the mandates of Nigerians, they are playing with serious fire.

The Judiciary should continue to be held responsible for the anarchy they created in Imo state.

Please someone should remember that the resultant of Hope Uzodimma presentation that gave him victory amounts to over voting where the total number of votes becomes more than the registration votes.

The results at the time were BLATANTLY written..

Not this time around..

Peter Obi will lose in Igboland and still go on and win the electionhuh

You need your cranium checked..

The Electoral law in place has taken care of almost all such illegalities. As during the PDP/OBJ days.

I am igbo and I have been on this Political path ACTIVELY since 2001/2002 after I had long finished my NYSC ..

FYI,I voted in the 93' annulled Elections..

Your comments shows how old you are..

On Election day in the East,a whole lot of ndi igbo in the villages and "hinterlands" will be scared to come out and vote..MARK MY WORDS..

There is also the issue of PVC non-collection and disenfranchisement..

Peter Obi is going NOWHERE in this election..
.

Yes that was why in 2018 he registered for NECO. exam at Aisu Ede only to be impersonated by a boy. They were all arrested and it became a serious case then.. That was why he went abroad to undartake a road side degree within 12 days.

Was there overvoting? - Yes

The only think Adeleke and PDP can do is appeal for a rerun in those Local governments where overvoting occurred.
