You don't have any problem, you can travel with the car anywhere you want.
Just that you will spend money on the road, especially when you get to customs check points. Yes you have original paper but then their will always be loopholes as far as tokumbo cars are concerned so don't go and be wasting your time arguing with customs claiming you have original documents because they already know there will be lapses and will use that one to delay you.

For instance the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) had recently reduced the age limit of imported vehicles from 15 years to 12 years, warning that any vehicle older than 12 years shall be impounded.

That means any car entering naija should be from 2010 upwards, so what your agent will do is to update the vehicle to 2010 and it will be assumed he's paying for a vehicle of that year even at that their will still be little little comprise because they will still chop after doing your business.
So base on naija thing custom knows all these but because of the egunje they pretend not to know, but like it's been suggested before just have enough change.
10k normally should be enough for settlements since it's Kwara route, if it's Benin Ore road I would have suggest 15k because their wahala is too much on that route.
Just greet them cheerfully with confidence ask how is work, with such approach they may not even ask for papers again they will just say Oga wash the car for us give us OD.

Customs 1k some may insist they want to collect more but just tell them that's what you have they won't do anything, they will still collect it.
Soldiers 5 hundred but sometimes you can try giving them 2h they may say 'Oya add something or insist on 5 hundred, but it doesn't exceed 5 hundred.
Police, most of them accept 2 hundred though some insist on 5 hundred so you use your discretion to determine whether to kwechiri or add something for them.

This is the encyclopedia of what I need. Thank you Oga gentlelife, 3 bottle of Azul for you on the house. And 1 bottle of beer for every other person .

By the way, I got Dealer plate and papers from my friend which will make it easier. But change will be kep as suggested. Cotonou road i no dey pay till i reach border sha . Kwara do this one

Obviously you haven't used Bolt for months now. This is a feature that has been available for some time now on Bolt.
Yeah, I have abandoned bolt for months now.
That's a good feature though.
That should give drivers much views of their earning on every ride.
Much respect, baba.

I can't believe I shunned Bolt 5600 bonus yesterday and still made enough money for myself.

Bolt will regret their strict policies very soon. The longer pick up without giving an option to decline is becoming the biggest challenge with working with Bolt.

The stress of trying to save your driver's score and also the stats required to get their bonus is really much. Sometimes, I'll burn fuel and drive for 7 minutes just to get closer to the rider and cancel with rider did not show.

The only upper hand Bolt still currently has is the fact that they have more riders than other apps for now.
Bolt still feeling fly because of the bold, that's just their strength (for now).
Much respect, boss.

Please I need advice base on experience o.

So we just cleared some cars and one of them - a benz e350 2006 (Toks) caught my attention after we recently fixed gear.

I would like to travel with this car to Molete (Kwara state) between 8th -12th February (next month) but i dont know what is both legal and street OT way of moving UNREGISTERED VEHICLE To and fro!

So please:

1- what legal reason can I have to move tokunbo from lagos to Kwara and back without ownership documents. Only Customer and clearing papers. Toks

2- if legal reason dey, abeg what should i expect on the road as regards driving a toks inter state, legal wise and street wise?

3- lastly car is of low clearance profile to the ground , is the road merciful for this kain car?

Note:

License is intact and up to date.

Vehicle clearance and C papers are original (no backdoor).

I am used to traveling (cotonou, ekiti and edo) but ONLY in used and registered vehicles with papers always up to date. So I’m developing a cold feet to doing toks without getting in trouble.

Better safe than sorry.

Provided ur custom papers is genuine with full duty paid then u don't have any problem.
U can drive the car to anywhere within the country without plate number for upto 3 or 6 months after it's entry into Nigeria.
Just make sure u have ur jack, spare tyre, fire extinguisher and caution sign.
Then lots of change for our men in Black.

The only bad part is if u get robbed it will be impossible to trace the car.

Do you know how long it takes to get dealership number?
It comes from Abuja ooo, besides it cost as much as 50 to 70k and it won't stop you from spending money on the road.
And it's expected that you be the only one to use it because both the id card and certificate should be in your name, what that means is if I fix it in a car I should be the one to drive it not allowing someone else to go deliver the car for me.

Do you want me to get you a car dealership number?

And when do you want it?

Did I say they are no longer issuing it?
I only said if it's because of this particular travel it doesn't worth it, again you sre expected to use it yourself like I said already not giving someone else.

Hold enough change esp for customs , dem dey hardly give change
#500 custom , na old car , them no go too send you
#100/200 police & others ( nscdc , amotekun ,vigilante )
#200 army /navy. Nothing concern Airforce for that one
once you are approaching the security barricade ( just say this words " officer in charge " stretching out your odi in your hand )
This expo is for night crawlers like us😅
You'd be fine except you want the regular stop , check papers , license, ask irrelevant qus & you must still settle ( if you decide to travel early). I don talk too much jare .

Leme share my car experience today.
I have been hearing a squeeking sound on the right side of my car since Wednesday last week. I had it checked immediately on Thursday (Not by my main mechanic though) guy loosed and inspected all four tyres and said it's break pad and break disc. But my pads and lining where still substantial. Although disc had thinned out. Anyway, I changed the break pads and break disc, and I was on my way. But then I started hearing a different kind of sound from the rear right tyre. Plus a slight drag like something is holding the car back from moving.
I just tot maybe it's the new pad and lining, that after a while it will stop. And the sound wasn't so bad, it can be neglected.
Then on Saturday I started noticing my back right tyre vibrates when I brake suddenly and my hand break isn't as it used to be, (I can't explain it but I know it feels different when I raise it). I knew something was wrong and my main mechanic had to take a look, my servicing comes up month end, so I said let me manage it till I visit my mechanic by next weekend.
I was heading to Chevron today when I heard a sudden "kpak" sound along Gerard road. I felt a little vibration on d break pedal, so I knew it had to do with the breaks, so I slowed down and tested d break as I was still on motion but it was fine. Got to the filling station at admiralty roundabout, I parked and check under d car for licking hydraulic but there was nothing. So I continued my journey.

Just as I got to chevyview junction, that back right tyre hooked and seized to roll. I had to forcefully drive off d road and park by the estate gate. Thank God rider has reached her estate already, her house is trekable from d gate so she no vex.

As God will have it two mechanics were working on a Camry inside Chevron car park, so I went to them and explained what happened, one of them came and loosed the tyre and discovered the kit inside the drum had scattered and d pieces eventually hooked the tyre. Thank God it was a quick and easy fix, a bigger miracle was that I wasn't on a major road when it happened.

Now, it's easy for someone to say "car that I just fixed on Thursday spoilt again all of a sudden on Monday" or "Cars are machines, it can spoil anytime without giving sign" but the truth is d car has been giving me phone call, it was speaking to me, but I was ignoring it. It's my fault for not attending to it swiftly, not the cars fault for breaking down abruptly.

Let's take proper care of our cars, know ur car, take notice of any change in it's usual operation, be observant, pay good attention and u will reduce the occurrence of unexpected breakdowns.
