The owner of Nairalander has no innovative sense. If not, by now, he or she should have learnt from WhatsApp on how to trim long write-ups, and they will just end with a link that says "Read more" or "See more". Only those interested in the jargons will click on that link.

By the way, who exactly owns this Nairalander?

TA eggheads (Agba, silentone, BBM and Co)

Are the banks, especially Zenith, UBA, GTB, NSE Banking index, forming head and shoulder pattern on the monthly TF?

I can see the left shoulder, the head and the right shoulder forming. That first neck (formed in January 2016) seems very deep.

If it is, then something could come unexpectedly.

What are your views?

Also to the TA eggheads,

Look at NSE 30. It seems to be forming the same thing the Indian stock indexes (Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex) formed on the monthly TF.

What could go wrong?

Price fluctuations the best approach to stock trading. For me, the 13.46℅ decline last week is my gain this week.

Don't take the fall serious.Take advantage of it.The technicals hasn't changed.Buying at 0.81 kobo is a very good entry price.

Okay, I'm looking into the fine details, No doubt Japaul has been sweet so far

You are correct looking at the indexes. However, GTCO has more room to run compared to the other banks on this list. UBA and Zenith appear to still have a minimum 10% rise in it. I'll illustrate in the charts what I mean. The overall macroeconomics/environment should be taken into account as we analyse these charts moving forward. The banking index can still make a push northwards as it stands but how long it holds is up in the air.
Caution is what you are suggesting here and I take it on board fully.

Just to add, the sellers ruined the h&s pattern when they couldn't move price below the neckline. We cannot discountenance the fact that the bulls have been in full control for the past 3 months at least in the banking sector. That surely counts for a lot.

2075 is on the table for NSE30 there will be a reaction up there (if we get there) but we could afford a pullback to 1830 to continue the uptrend. Could it be a triple top? Absolutely.
As in all the examples, the bulls have the upper hand with those continuation candles.

Final comment:
NIFTY 50 & Sensex are at All-time Highs. Topping action/healthy pullback is expected even without the Adani controversy.

Modified:
Oops!!! just checked (covers face) ASI is near ATH too. At this point, let everyone watch their portfolio like a hawk. Don't be caught unawares.
