Good evening 😊, I need your assistance.
I have evaluated my certificate and sat for IELTS on 7th January, 2023. My result was released yesterday. I had the following bands: L-8.5, R-8.5, W-7,S-7...Overall band 8(CLB 9)

I am applying for SINP but I am kind of confused. I studied English Language and I am currently working with an Advertising Company in Lagos.

I am confused on the NOC Code.

Please can someone help me out

Afternoon. I noticed u got your online result after 13days which is the norms . But how about the hard copy . How long b4 it gets to you or courier to you or you can go straight to pick it up urself to avoid delay? Just asking how long will the physical hard copy takes after the result shows online. Thank.

Hello everyone, I am not really clear on declaring the countries you’ve been denied visa question and I hope someone can help. I was denied visa to a country twice but on my third attempt, I got the visa, can I declare the two visa denials? (Note: they didn’t stamp my passport or anything with the denial, they just gave me a letter stating the reason for the denials)

Hello People, is there anyone whose application is still pending due to security check? Security has been in progress for me since December and that is the only thing pending. Most of the people that got remedical request around the same with me had their security cleared almost immediately and all got PPR. How long does it usually take to have security cleared?

no defined timeline. People have different circumstances or activities that may prolong it. Also the issue of processing from the agency involved , IRCC does not do the security checks another govt agency does. So just wait for them you cant do anything to fast track it.

yes you have to. Doesn't matter that they didn't stamp your passport. Those records exist somewhere in a database they all have access to.

Reading through the different posts and comments here, I must say a lot has changed and evolved since Part 1 of this thread. It’s been 5 years, of being a PR and now awaiting Citizenship callup. Started the whole journey on here, right from Part 1 of the thread. This is wishing you Ladies and Gents all the luck as you prepare your apps and patience as you await results.

As a way to give back, I live in Calgary, AB and work in 1 of the top banks as a Senior FA. Anybody landing and needing help with accommodation, transportation from airport and info on basic banking needs on landing can hit me up. I may be able to make referrals or recommendations. It’s pro bono as well.

Once again, all the best y’all.

I agree with you. Someone has security checks since July last year. It can range from 3 months - 18 months.

Hello. I already uploaded my CIIN certificate on WES portal. Do I still need to send my transcript to WES? Thank you in anticipation of your swift response.

Prettiepearlz:

Your result is okay, you maxed all except reading where an 8.0 would have given you maximum point in Language. You can use other experiences provided it’s eligible under express entry, it doesn’t have to be related with your current field as you need 3 years experience for your points to make sense but on a second thought, your current job will be 3 years by January so that’s not much of a problem and I think it would suffice.

The most important thing here is your education, a short course that can be evaluated positively by Wes like ACCA, BCS, CIMA, CIIN, CIPM etc is what you need to claim two or more certificates and boost your scores to 460s to 470s region.

Yes you can use your statement of result. As a MLT, you don’t have any special evaluation body, please use Wes.

They did point to a specific point - reasonable evidence of fraud and this is not a generic mail at all. It is highly unlikely that they will make this claim without going through a painstaking investigation. It is incredibly hard to go from a 6.5 to an 8 within a couple of weeks on a language test.
I disagree with the bold, it is very doable with consistent study. The IELTS exam is just about understanding the techniques of passing the exam and we have a lot of online tutors like Liz, Jay etc daily dishing out tips to pass each modules. However, it is not to say that some centres and people don’t dabble in examination fraud. The evidence she seeks from them, they would most likely not provide, for them to cancel the result, they have done thorough investigation and his centre or result was found to be linked to the malpractice.

Deelizabeth93, if your spouse is yet to get a 2 years ban from writing IELTS then he isn’t directly linked to the fraud and he was just unfortunate to write the exam in the compromised Centre. However if he is found to be directly linked, the saga won’t stop at cancellation, it would be followed with a punishment which mostly is a 2 years ban.

Thank you. If it was the whole centre that was seized it would have been better nah. We exchanged numbers with a couple there on the exam day and both have confirmed that their results have been released. I don't think anyone's result from the centre would have been released if it was the centre sha but anyway we dey wait...

No. It simply means that your application has been received. The body of the mail should detail what you should expect subsequently in the evaluation process.

Good morning all,
I used NYSC to gain points for PR and have received ITA. My NYSC was at a government office, do I need to indicate that I worked for the government in the employment history section?
would appreciate if anyone can provide an answer as soon as possible.

Good old days lol. I paid N1.69m in December for family of 3. This January, it seems it has increased to N2m
Don’t look back. You’ll recover it. Canada PR gives you the stability to call Canada home and make long terms plans / pursue your goals. You don’t get to worry about changes in immigration policy like Nigerian students in U.K. are currently facing .

No update o. I’ve had to move my travel date which is quite painful, the extra cost and the additional wait time

Please has anyone that sent their passport to Ghana through Lagos vfs in December gotten their passport back?
Aren’t COPRs valid for 11 months again ? Why the rush ?

A lot of factors. But these days you don’t have to be physically on ground to get some things started. Got mine February 2022 but was valid till January 2023 thus I applied for jobs from Naija and only travelled after I got a job in April (10 days to start date). USD1 was 550 then and I didn’t want to convert naira to spend there.

I’m sure you’ve figured things out.
