This is a very silly accusation. I just called the VFS office in Lagos just to reconfirm and they said the VFS e visa website is genuine. There are two different types of e visa, the one by DHA and the VFS e visa which they just started recently. These people entered into a contract with VFS to help them with visa applications from Nigeria.
Nigerians will not read but rather blame others for their misfortune. I have my family living in SA and I heard about the VFS e visa from them first and then my sister before I applied myself.

You guys dont know shit!...thats why i dont comment here. How are you sure the VFS number you called is VFS and those responding to you are not part of the bigger plan? have visit VFS office to confirm? all of you keep saying call call call....it is a SCAM. the number is diverted!

Use your sense why would DHA have a website for eVISA and VFS will have another one? to the scammers above VISA IS BEING APPROVED EVERYDAY ON DHA E VISA WEBSITE. I wont comment again on this matter. 5 OF MY PEOPLE GOT THEIR VISA GRANTS ON DHA EVISA! YOU DONT NEEDS VFS FOR ANY SHIT! DO IT YOURSELF. BYE

I dare you to go to their office and ask. How can vfs official number be diverted and they won’t know. A multinational company? The official numbers on their own page? please do your findings before you tag people as scam. True true illiteracy na disease and you are trying to spread the disease on this group

You must be a joker, I have been to SA more than once and this is thesame VFS number I always call whenever I have issues or I need to confirm something even before they started this yeye VFS e visa. You are just misinformed bro, calm down na of us dey see shege for these people hand , doesn’t mean the website is fake. Ask travel agents they will tell you thesame thing. Apparently, the DHA website has had serious issues lately, it was okay when they started and because of they backlogs of applications they had to CONTRACT e visa processing and issuing to VFS. Stop arguing and accept they you were wrong.

It is amazing to see your arrogant display of abject ignorance. It’s obvious that any argument against your position would be thrown out the window for all you care. Even when there is clear evidence that proves you wrong.

You have even displayed your backward mentality by asking people to visit VFS’s office physically to confirm the authenticity of the VFS evisa page, in this digital age 🙄wow!. I actually believe that if anyone goes there physically and reports back, you will still dispute their feedback even if they take a picture with a VFS officer 😂.

Yes eDHA works and also eVFS Visa works. Either can be accessed to apply for SA evisa. You are so outdated that you don’t even know the rationale behind the introduction of the VFS evisa and yet, you dispute information provided by others. You make judgements and false accusations based on your own speculations and then you say others “don’t know shit”. Who are you? What makes you better than others on this platform? Only people that are stuck in their ways and myopic behave like this.

You clearly have an agenda lol - maybe you want some attention that would lead people to your dead alternative SA visa page (which has not gained much traction from the look of things!), who knows? since you are attempting to deceive people to consider your own conspiracy theories about a chain of scammers who you think somehow designed a whole fake website, fake help line/email, fake multinational company’s phone line and even forged an official email from VFS 😂😂😂😂. Joker! You are simply delusional.

You welf99… are the one who knows nothing, in fact, less than nothing.

Listen up everyone, the guys running this website: https://southafrica.vfsevisa.com/ are scammers. Ensure not to fall their victim. the likes of tryharder and Myst77 are just plain scammers. This is why you have not received any information update cos you applied for the SA evisa using their website - https://southafrica.vfsevisa.com/. They will ask to send an email to info.evisasa@vfsglobal.com but be rest assured that no response will come forth. Naturally, you will then find your way after being tired and frustrated.

Likely, whom ever opened this thread meant a goodwill to help people find their feet but alas, if there is a Judas or a Lucifer in the most holy places, how much more a thread on Nairaland.

For people who have fallen victim, its so sad that despite the situation in the country, some people still derive joy to rip innocent Nigerians off their hard earned money through any means possible.

I believe these guys mentioned above especially Myst77 have scammed a lot of unsuspecting people. His profile just shows that he registered 11th January 2023 and has not created any topic but actively campaigned and encouraged people to register for SA e-visa using https://southafrica.vfsevisa.com/

I plead with the rest of us to try and be our brothers keepers and call out scammers anytime we discover them and I as well beckon on Nairaland to block their accounts immediately to avoid more victims.

WHY THIS POST?

I applied for the SA e-visa through the much advertised website - https://southafrica.vfsevisa.com/. See below the confirmation of payment and successful submission since 3 days till now, i have not received any email on my payment and confirmation of my submission. Worst of is that I can't log back in on the website AND 87USD IS GONE.

That amount multiplied by 100 and then 1000...etc. From honest and unsuspecting Nigerians.

I know many people are already a victim of this but keeping quiet has made more people fall victim. I will not keep quiet on this so that no other person becomes a victim.

Except Seun is just concerned about his paycheck, the integrity of this site and diligence of the moderators could be heading for shambles!!

Do you have any evidence? I'm really interested to know that.

If you haven't received any email 3days after visa application that does not mean that you have been scammed.

Good Morning Justwise. This guy have to apologize to the people he accused for scam. That site was created by VFS Global in Nigeria. Please go and verify from the company yourself or call people or travel agents. People have been granted visa on that platform and they have been to SA multiple times without stress. His own might just be a technical problem which he was meant to report to VFS Directly but he chose to call innocent people scammers Imagine because you haven’t received any information regarding your visa so these people are scammers? Justwise please verify yourself. After your findings let me also know. Thank you

Hey Guys,

To be honest, when I read the silly write up of users like Farrason and co, I was dissapointed.

Truly, the mental state of every Nigerian need to be checked at this point, it seems the frustration experienced in different parts of the country at the moment has really affected the reasoning, critical thinking and judgement of a lot of people.

According to the thread, the op's claimed the VFS E-visa website is a scam because others received their visa's on time and then theirs is being heavily delayed. Thus, its a scam? Lol. Among other lame reasons?

I just want to tell you all to take deep breathes, take some time to go throught previous pages on this thread and also make findings before you lay claim to frustration inspired narratives.

Your real problem is the terrible leadership of this country since it's democracy and having no choice to identify as a Nigerian by birth with our green colored passport. For avoidance of doubt, many in the western world and most first world countries do not even know what a tourist visa application is, they just book a flight, sort accomodation and travel.

To the nay sayers, if only you were patient enough to read through earlier pages on this thread, you would have seen cases of fellow Nigerians as your self, who have been granted the E Visa through VFS. Many have even travel and returned.

For further avoidance of doubt, I will like to state, I am a current holder of a MULTIPLE ENTRY, VALID E-VISA obtained from VFS E-VISA portal.

If this next information will frustrate you even more, then you really need to take deep breathes; My visa was issues in 5 days, counting from date of application.

To the poster who didn't see a confirmation mail from VFS after payment, please check your spam and junk folders.

To the rest of you on this thread; moderators, new users and old users. Kindly very information before laying out accusations.

Just because it didn't work for you, doesn't mean it didn't work of others, neither does it mean it's a scam.

Cheers.

You have said it all. I was really disappointed when I saw the allegations yesterday. I have chatted with tryhard outside this space and not for once as he given me a scammer vibe, apparently he is also an applicant like most people on this thread.
The first time I heard about the VFS e visa was when I went to apply for sticker visa last year November, the guy working at VFS asked why I didn’t opt for e visa instead since it’s faster and it’s just for vacation, but it was too late. Eventually , I had to apply for the VFS e visa when I didn’t hear anything from sticker visa. We have discussed about the delay severally on this platform and it just started this year.
Please try to read and digest information before you accuse someone wrongly. I’m sure the guy never called VFS global to confirm anything , his first intuition was to come here and rant. His complaint is also something another person has experienced on this platform which was eventually resolved by VFS. Most people you see dropping comments here every now and then is out of frustration of being kept waiting indefinitely by these SA people, no one is trying to scam you.

Just to lend a voice to all that has been said thus far. A simple email or call to the official VFS helpline is all anyone needs to confirm that the VFS e-visa portal is legit. I personally reached out via email and they sent a link to the very same portal. @Anniebam has also confirmed that she's also reached out and gotten the same information. It is really disheartening to see someone trying so hard to discredit the good work some people are doing here.

I understand that anxiety can get one frustrated and act up sometimes, but it would be wise to at least do some due diligence before you call anyone out.

That said... I really want to appreciate Tryhard and all others who have so patiently helped a lot of us here with valuable information. Please do not because of this outburst stop your good work. I am still awaiting an outcome for my visa application, but however, that goes, you guys really helped make the process easy for me.

See below genuine site for E VISA

https://ehome.dha.gov.za/epermit/home

@justwise - Thanks for applying good judgement in this matter and for asking the naysayers the right questions.

@Farrason @naaija @femiaction @H100 & @welf99 and anyone else who thinks that this eDHA site: https://ehome.dha.gov.za/epermit/home is the only legitimate site to apply for an SA visa, let me clear once again:

SA evisa is only reviewed and issued by officers of the Department of Home Affairs (DHA). However, they receive applications through two authorised platforms - one that is managed by DHA directly (https://ehome.dha.gov.za/epermit/home) and another that is managed by VFS Global by the authorisation of DHA (https://southafrica.vfsevisa.com/).

Please note again that VFS does not adjudicate on the applications, they are only providing the technology (which is way better than eDHA's site technology) for the evisa to be processed. If you check the FAQ page of the VFS evisa site, their answer to this question: Q: "Is my personal information secure to submit online?" Ans: "Absolutely, all information including documents are safe and will only be used for the purpose of when you complete your application for a South African e-Visa, your information is secure and is submitted directly to the South African government. Your personal information will be processed only for the purpose of making a decision on your visa application"

I am not going to explain the reason for the two platforms because if anyone of you can just spare some time to read past posts from me, you'll see that I have explained the possible reason for the two platforms - I even shared a South African website's article on this.

Yes, I joined the platform on 11 January 2023. I do not follow anyone and I have never contacted/dm'd anyone on this platform. Most importantly, I did not join this thread to help promote evisa or VFS evisa platform or any kind of visa or business. I joined this platform because I am a long term visa applicant waiting for an outcome and wanted to be updated on feedback from other applicants like me. While doing so, I took some interest in disseminating information that may be of help to others in need. Unfortunately, doing so has almost destroyed my profile's reputation in less than 1 month - it's sad.

For those that are looking for proof of the VFS evisa, please see below a redacted version of the evisa that I had to ask a friend of mine to share. And if after this proof, you are still skeptical - well, good luck to you!

This unfortunately will be my last post on this platform. I wish everyone the best in their endeavour. I'll be watching as a guest wink. Thank you to all that provided support and to the thread master @justwise. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your input. Please what is your interest in this website in question? Why are you defending this website with all this writeup? Because I don't understand you guys.
