On the other hand, if Osho and his comrades in NLC had not been consistent in opposing fuel subsidy removal for decades, by now he won't be complaining about this...or maybe?

One annoying thing I don't like about Nigerian campaigners is the idea that we should vote out APC (WE MUST VOTE THEM OUT, by the way) because petrol is more expensive now, than it was under PDP/GEJ/ETC. Meanwhile , petrol in 1999 was less than N25 a liter...does that mean we should bring back the millitary.

If we want to keep petrol at N65 ....we would have to spend billions of dollars on subsidy...to the point that what Buhari has spent on subsidy in one year would look miniscule by comparison. Yet, we want things to be cheap.

Without thinking that it costs money to make things, and the people who make those things want to be paid better too, and also want to earn more money too,plus production costs are not static, neither are taxes, or so on. Yet we want fuel at N65...or N40.

Even if we make the currency 'strong'...basically it amounts to the value of N65 held in 2009 being equal to the value of N195 today. So, nothing changes.

We better stop this dream of 'having everything cheap'....that is why we don't have the good old USSR...because their government tried to make everything cheap...and it wrecked their economy over time.

The current fuel crisis has lingers for five months now and it's this election month that you suddenly go and bought it for 1k per liter. Who's party is at the head of the government APC and you were one of the people that protest against Jonathan. Who are you complaining to now?

Even if they increase it to 5k per litre him and his goons can still buy a trailer load of it.

Reference to your attachment, It's far beyond the issue of unpatriotism when people still deliberately vote in the same order and expect a miracle. I personally think it's more of a psychological damage which have left many without rational thinking.

So, when I was on queue for 6-7 hours in 2014, it was the fault of GEJ and PDP.

Seriously, fuel scarcity happens when the petrol subsidy cannot cover the losses sustained in selling fuel below its production cost, which is why we have been having it for decades (I can recall queues being present in 1990...self).

The problem is, you guys want to buy fuel at N65, without thinking about how much it costs to make fuel in the first place,or transport it.

Finally, in 2012, NOI told GEJ to remove fuel subsides...and GEJ faltered on that. In 2021, Zaynab told Bubu to remove fuel subsidy, and Bubu said that security report won't let him do it....

And the queues continue.

Before you quote me, would you, if you were a businesmman selling bread, sell bread at N20 to help the poor.? Bread that cost N1000 to make?
