Truvelisback:
Good day, fellas. These are some of the reasons i love buying things from Mallam/Aboki's Shop.
1. Most of them are very Content with the little interest they make from their sales unlike other business people.
2. Their goods are cheap or less expensive. They rarely make their goods expensive or too expensive for people to buy from them. And if they add to their price of goods, it is likely that the price he bought the goods has increased that's why.
3. Most of them are very friendly to their customers and do maintain customers.
4. They aren't competitive in their business with other business people. I.e Mr. A is selling his goods for this price(which may be very expensive or too expensive), therefore, i must sell mine this same. And many more.
So, if u want to buy something that u aren't sure of the price or u are scared of being cheated, patronise them. They are very considerate in their prices. The amazing part of it all is that, they make progress in their businesses than those folks who delibrately make their goods very expensive or too expensive for people to afford.
Are they paying for shop or Local Govt tarrifs?

Op is not far from the truth though.
But one thing about these abokis, is that most of them have multiple source of incomes.

Noticed how some of them around you suddenly dissappears from time to time especially during raining season?

They usually go their villages (north) for farming. Some have cows and cattle rearers.

Their food and house rent are not that expensive. Etc.

Yes, if you’ve read or told about the origin of the civil war then you’ll have a more understanding while I mentioned betrayal. Let’s not derail 😂

I dont know why Benin City abokis dey different from the ones in other states majority of them are greedy and pugnacious in nature...in Benin City, na them begin sell new naira notes for Ring rd and New Benin. The locals prefer to do business, rent their houses and shops to Igbos than abokis...

They are very content and not focused on materialistic things. However something dark and evil sleeps within. If you get close enough to them, you will get a glimpse of it. The moment it awakens, will leave you perplexed and in fear of every man. I have been there and I can tell you that I would rather be around a ranting and raving Southerner, because you can know their true heart.

Aside political and religious differences, the average Hausa man is the kindest and most considerate black man on earth.

If you go to a malam's shop and explain you don't have money he'll still give you.

My Hausa childhood friend that came from abj to pH for an interior decor contract. He stayed for a couple of months with me because of the job. We regularly buy suya from a nearby suya seller. So when my guy left for abj, he called me that he was owing one suya guy N1k, I should help him pay. I got there told the suya man and he said my guy wasn't owing any money, my guy had to clear me that it was another suya man very far from my area and I have never bought suya frm that particular malam. I Asked my guy how he managed to buy the suya on credit, baba say he was passing by and had no money on him, so he just spoke Hausa to the Mallam asap the man sell am the suya on credit. Omo I shock

Some of the ones riding okada and Keke are thugs because they had to adapt😁. They are still nice ones though, especially in states outside of lagos

Most of them are not really Hausas. The Hausas will not cheat you unlike our people who always bill you unnecessarily and the worst are those Yoruba market women. They will insult you and even force their goods on you. Majority of them are criminals if you ask me.

Good to see you all admit we are nice, honest and generally kind but you lots keep dishing us insults just because of politics. Islam gave us that orientation to be nice and generally good to people. Before you shout bokoharam let me inform you that bokoharam is anti Islam and it’s highly politically driven. We will always be nice to everyone as Islam instructed us to. Salam. Mynd44, nlfpmod seun push to frontage and let the rest give their good remarks about us.

The political class of the northern hegemony are staunch crooks, pillagers and criminals. The average and not so mid size are contented with what they have. These are the true Northerners.

Aren't you being paranoid fellow?

I happen to live for a while up north too and I can categorically confirm the op's submission as regards to the kiosk traders.

Nevertheless, I'm still curious to know what could have created such distrust of you towards them,
