Ask random Nigerian girls what quality they look for in a man and a "God-Fearing" man will come as any of the first 3 qualities.

Be more specific, ask them what quality they want in the physical appearance of a man and the first or second option will be "TDH"- Tall, Dark and Handsome.

From JSS1, that's what every Nigerian girls has in mind. They've been programmed to fit in a box to only believe that the men with the qualities above are what will make their romantic relationships last and people to admire them.

Can a God-fearing man dominate her in the bedroom? Is the God-Fearing man a misogynist who will think of her lowly and quote the bible to affirm his archaic behaviour? Will the God-fearing man want her to give birth to at least 7 children to fulfill God's commandment of multiplying the Earth when she wants only three kids? Will the TDH man get you a car like Regina Daniels or you'll be using okada to the market when you're 8 months pregnant?

This is an analogy. A God-fearing man represents the concept of a lesser evil and an incorruptible messiah. A tall, dark and handsome man represents a candidate with eloquence in speech and great oratory skills.

There are more than 20 major qualities a presidential candidate should possess but the bulk of Nigerians limit it to one which is the "poorest major candidate or the candidate who is perceived to be upright".

In 2015, Buhari's supporters did not discuss Buhari's human right issues based on his past Performance, they did not discuss his ability to end inflation and crude oil dependency based on his past performance, they did not discuss his ability to industrialize Nigeria based on his past performance etc. The only thing they disturbed everyone about was his ability to end corruption and leakages of funds based on his past performance.

For an objective thinker - what if this man's only distinction , that is the ability to stop corruption and leakages, is subdued by a powerful system he didn't envisage theoretically before leading practically? What happens to other more important needs of Nigeria that his resume showed that he was not good at?

A candidate turned a State that generated 600 million Naira monthly as IGR to a state that generated 5.5 billion naira monthly before leaving office almost 16 years ago.
If I want a candidate that will increase Nigeria's revenue, I'll go for him.

A candidate was the first Governor in Nigeria that started an Independent Power Project despite opposition from the Federal Government because of the inclusion of power in the exclusive list of the CFRN 1999.
If I want a candidate that has the best chance of solving Nigeria's electricity problem, I'll go for him.

A candidate was the first Governor in Nigeria to approve the creation of new Local Government Areas in his State and granted them autonomy. He was punished by the Federal Government that withheld their deserved revenue allocation.
If all I want in a candidate is one who will restructure the country and give more autonomy to units, I'll go for him.

A candidate who created the RRS, which is heavily funded is who I will go for if all I want in a candidate is one who is most likely going to support State Policing.

I can go on and on.

Go publicly to state what you want in your potential partner and omit "God Fearing", most Nigerians will shame you. God Fearing is just one quality.

Being "perceived" as the least corrupt is just one quality that will not put food on anybody's table. That's a fact.

There are qualities I'm looking for in someone I can call my President and I have found those qualities in Mr. Bola Ahmad Tinubu.

Forcing another candidate on me is like mocking me for going with a thin girl because majority are going with thick girls with big nyash. What if I love BDSM and will find it hard to practice it with a thick girl? What if I don't want a wife that will be overweight after child birth because thick girls are most likely to be?

It's high time you respected my choice of Jagaban! I just want an economy where cash will flow and consumers will have enough to consume my products and services.

Isn’t it even funny people think buying votes by Tinubu to win an election makes him a bad candidate? All candidates will buy votes according to their pockets. Buying vote or not buying doesn’t make a candidate a good one at governance.

Buhari had no money to buy votes and was all about integrity but what’s the result today?

Tinubu, at large had exhumed his dexterities on so many occasions in all things he laid his hands on and succeeded. It takes a man with Midas touch to turn sham to glam. He stands tall. If people are angry that he’s wealthy. Maybe those people should try poverty. He wasn’t the only governor that led a state in 1999 till date. What’s stopping others to be wealthy as he is.

This means he is an intelligent man who knows how to turn situations to blessings.
For us that knew Lagos before Tinubu became a governor we can’t be brainwashed on what he did to place Lagos on the pedestal of success today.

Robert greenfield would say that “foresight is what a leader needs to work and he lacks it, he’s only walking” Tinubu is a man of foresight. He stands tall.

He’s a quintessential leader. A man with wisdom to reposition Nigeria.

Nigeria needs him right now. I have no doubt that he will win and he will perform the Excellently well.

Nobody has come up with a single project Tinubu started and completed as a governor other than some business deals that will also benefit him in the long run that investors brought to him and he approved.
Even with all the propaganda you guys are disseminating, Tinubu of today doesn't even know what it means to test the microphone, and that leaves us with this question, are we voting for Tinubu to reward him for bringing Buhari to us or are we voting for him to reward him for the acclaimed governors he installed in lagos state or the deals he approved as a Governor?

@OP.

Brilliant !!! Bottom line is that anyone desirous of success in life will know that a focus on results and solutions is what matters above everything else.

If we are to talk of the candidate that has delivered the most results and solutions , as a leader, then Tinubu has no peers of all those competing.

Like Senator Hanga said, "I can do it " that Atiku, Obi and the rest are claiming today is different to "I have done it before" Tinubu alone can claim meritoriously.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/dailypost.ng/2019/09/02/2023-senator-hanga-reveals-region-produce-next-president-gives-reasons/%3famp=1

“That is why I believe if you get a South westerner, he will do for Nigeria what they did for Southwest. I am not saying this because of their loyalty to the North, I am saying because of their competence.

“This man is competent, he can do it is different from this man is competent he has done it before.

If some applicants come to you for interview and one of them says, if you don’t employ me, your company will crash down, another person says to you, employ me, I will do what I did for the other company to grow and the third one says, try me, I will do my best and you will certainly be happy that you have tried me, who among the three would you employ?

You obviously have no idea about how the economy works so you chose ad hominem.

You're probably one of those who just wants to feed and take care of your loved ones.

Of all the three candidates, it's most likely a Tinubu's administration that can solve your problem if there's any government that can.

That's where you're getting it wrong.

I appreciate a leader when he does the right thing and criticize the same leader when he does something I feel isn't right or is obviously wrong. That's the meaning of democracy.

The problem with you folks who started participating in politics in 2020 is that you genuinely believe that there's a man out there who can solve all Nigeria's problem without failing at some things.

I want a leader that will allow cash to flow first of all. Don't mind if he fails at blocking leakages as long as he increases revenue.

Let's face it, that you vote for Biden or Trump in America does not mean that you won't have a crazy white man or kid walk into a church or school and start shooting people with an automatic machine gun. That's a systematic problem endemic to America.
If you're electing an American leader to stop mass shooting then you're plain stupid.

Most of Nigeria's problem are that way. I choose a candidate whose manifesto outlined in detail how to solve the solvable Nigerian problems. The manifesto has a solid framework that can be applied in Nigeria's terrain.

Gibberish!

A candidate indicted for drugs trafficking who forfeited a whopping sum of $460000, who has shown advanced stages of both Alzheimer's and Parkinson diseases , someone with a questionable identity and source of wealth cannot be the face of Nigeria in this 21st century!

The drug story is not totally true. The United States does not spare drug traffickers. They go to jail.

Elite musicians / rappers like Kodak Black, DMX, Wiz Khalifa that have millions of followers have been jailed for being in possession of drugs. How on Earth will America bargain with a "millionaire drug dealer" who "distributes opium to their population"? If forfeiture was for drug dealers El Chapo, Pablo etc would drop a billion dollars to be free.

Tinubu was never a drug dealer. As a lawyer with experience in Judicial systems who has actually read the files that were made public, I explained in simple terms what happened in the case.

The forfeiture had nothing to do with Tinubu dealing on or trafficking drugs except you just want to blackmail him or you've been brainwashed to hate him.

How is it questionable? Tinubu is the Warren Buffett of Nigeria. He's a First class Accounting graduate from an American university who made his fortune from stocks trading and investing in the right markets. He was also lucky to inherit generational wealth.

Tinubu played opposition from 1999 to 2015. That's 16 years. He was probed by Obasanjo's EFCC and Jonathan's EFCC found nothing on him. The accounts of Lagos State are audited by the best international auditors and organisations. None of the audit reports suggests that Tinubu has ever stolen from Lagos.

Any other story is beer palour gist.

My guy , this your analogy is both bogus and unnecessary. There is no going around this one. Tinubu presents with many questionable incidents around him. There is something hideous about Tinubu, let's be honest. His Primary and Secondary classmates are all missing or they are just silent. People have evidence Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not his real names. That's very worrisome, he was involved in some narcotics deal in the U.s. where he forfeited over 500,000,000 us dollars. Then he operated over 10 bank accounts. These are all shady and security risk.

He became the governor and made himself an Emperor and cornered the common patrimony of the Lagos people. Nobody dare mess with the Jagaban of Lagos! His agberos will kill at will and he can outspend any candidate because he has too much money in his hands. He bought the trust of some northern governors with money and felt they owe him one.

Also , the man is having what might seem to be signs of early dementia. He cant believe what is happening before his eyes. He forget this is a different general generation with different times.

Looking at Obi , he is an easy sell. Took Anambra from 26 position in WAEC to number 1 for three consecutive years and remained at top 3 until last year when they dropped to 5th position. That's about 15 years of Academic excellence. You Lagos Tinubu can't touch that. Let me stop bgg

All you're saying is like me saying I can't support Obi because he's Ipob . He has always defended Ipob or because he said that ESN was created by the Governors of the South East. Those are allegations and not true. I can't judge Obi with those narratives because they are put forward by the opposition. In fact, if not for anything, it was during Obi's tenure that almost 100 corpses of suspected MASSOB members were dumped in a River in Anambra. When you connect those dots, you will conclude that he may not be a secessionist. I have never called OBi an Ipob member like others.

Tinubu graduated from Chicago State University, he returned and served Nigeria as a NYSC member. The pictures of those two certificates are enough. The files of the court case in the United States shows that he was running an accounting company in America. The other narratives are pushed by blackmailers, opponents and haters. There's nothing mysterious about Jagaban.

My daddy can never be involved in narcotics.

You are one of the useless idiots queuing up with an empty bowl for rice everyday at Bourdillon. That's where your destiny was swapped and left you unfortunate.

I'm not quarreling with you. I'm just telling you to build your life around your career , job or business- anything productive.

It will be a shame for you to produce hateful offspring whose highest paying job will be trolling successful people on the internet.

There's great power in your hands, my boy, to end the nuisance and uselessness that runs in your family. Let the stupidity end with you, please grin

You not Tinubu are the very problem of Nigeria

This is just embarrassing. Look at what bigotry has done to you. You have to go throw so many hoops to defend the man but its to no avail. The Jagaban is going down but its up to him to decided how he want it served. His criminality is well documented but the end of his wicked rule in Lagos has come to an end!
Obi never had any accusations against him. Yes , Anambra was very volatile when he stepped in and immediately quelled the madness. The then IGP rated Anambra the most secured state in the nation and we have the records to verify. In Anambra Obi rebuilt all the major teaching hospitals in Anambra , expanded them and build school of nursings in them. Obi paid over 40 billions in owed pensions by previous government and left over 78 billions in stocks and bonds.

This is beautifully written tbf. I will not mock you. It is your right to support whoever you want.

But I hope your candidate loses badly. The consequence of rewarding a party that has completely failed Nigeria with another term is just not an option for many of us.

The consequence of rewarding a corrupt man with no conscience the seat of the presidency because he feels it is his right is just not an option for many of us.

The consequence of voting for a man who we believe is physical and mentally unfit for office, after 8 years of virtually no leadership in aso rock, is just not an option for many of us

We can agree to disagree.

Obi all the way. And if not Obi, literally anyone but APC. Thank you

I understand your choice based on your priorities.

It's as simple as "APC didn't deliver up to my expectations, I'll try another party."

I have a thread about the exodus of Nollywood actors from the East to Lagos and other places. Pete Edochie was kidnapped during Peter Obi's second term in Anambra State. Yes. A lot of big men were kidnapped in Anambra during his tenure.

Yahaya Bello is an APC governor. He's received many awards of best performing Governor but that doesn't mean he is the best.
