It is my firm belief that we all share a common interest for a better country, a country where no consideration is given to ones tribe, religion, or region for one to get what they're duly qualified for. A country where justice doesn't favour only the high and mighty but is available even to the people at the bottom of the food chain.

In light of this, I tender my unreserved apologies to all whom I might have hurt with my insensitivity and unkind words.

It must be stated that I wasn't motivated by any ulterior motive to do this. I simply had a very quiet time away from everything few moments ago, considered the endless animosity between our tribes and wondered "who are the greatest beneficiaries of this, certainly not me or any member of my family".

It just isn't worth it anymore.

I enjoin others to reconsider their attitude here and made redress where necessary.

I expect a good measure of insults to accompany this thread, but it's all good. I've taken a bow and I'm not returning to that realm anymore.

I am ashamed of my Yoruba brothers who don't see life beyond tribalism and religion. I bet you that if APC had brought Osinbajo as the presidential candidate, Igbos will vote Osinbajo instead of Obi and that is who they are when it comes to politics. They always go for the best no matter the tribe. They voted in favour of Obasanjo, Yaradua and Jonathan against they fellow tribe men that contested against these three presidents. They warned us about Buhari but we didn't listen to them because we were so clouded with tribalism and religious sentiment. If Tinubu as a Yoruba man is the best man for the job against Obi as igbo man, the Igbos will vote Tinubu against Obi. Secondly, if Authur Eze is contesting against Osinbajo, Igbos will vote Osinbajo against Author Eze because they always go for the younger, smart and service oriented as well as the best for the job. But we Yorubas has failed to understand that sentiment and tribalism is the reason Nigeria is not moving forward yet we pray every day in church and mosque for God's help but we refused to do our part. Obi is younger, creative and active for the job compare to others.

this is beautiful coming from you.. i had this ephipany after 2011 and since then i have made sure never to be motivated to take sides using religious or tribal reasoning... we lose alot part of ourselves when we give in to innanities like tribe and religions, in the beginning we will love it and enjoy the thrill but with time if we are introspective enough we will find that we are truly losing ourselves.... yoruba, igbo or yoruba we are one, we are joined together whether we like it or not, we are far more connected than we are divided and it is not the choice of anyone to be born either of the religions or tribe... i hope other like you will wake up and realized that none of these benefit anyone and definitely not them.. as a yoruba man to another yoruba man, i saw welcome back to sanity

God bless you my brother. I have always refrained from towing tribal line all my stay here even though others have always insulted me. That's not to mean I don't insult people especially those supporting wrong government but it is never tribal. My experience working with different people in Nigeria made me understand that in any tribe, there are the good, the bad the ugly.

Apology accepted,I also apologize for my own insults on my good Yoruba friends, this thing we're doing here is politics taken too far,but I believe political issues are also controversial issues everywhere.
Let's not hate ourselves because of these politicians who are not in anyway related to us,the thing we should strive for is progress and holding our leaders accountable to their actions.
I condemned Bryamo's insults on the Igbo people, the same way I condemned Psq's recently insults on Seun and the Legendary Fela.A. Kuti.
Make we unite to usher in a new Nigeria,if your candidate is the best in your opinion to lead the country to a greater height vote for him and canvas votes for him,no need insulting other tribes because of one man.
Our major concern should be the one that will bring a working system and a better society.

It is just tiring and takes one no where, these needless battle of supremacy.

I must also add, in addition to not engaging in these brawls anymore, I shall cease forthwith liking or sharing any such comments on the forum, neither will I quote such. All of these tend to give those who engage in these practices morale boost.

I can't tell anyone how to behave on here, but I sure know these hateful outings here will in the end cause us more harm than good.

One of the practical things Seun, Mynd44 and the other admins of the forum could do to stem the tide of hate and bigotry is to ensure members can view those who like and share comments. Some persons don't make these comments but like and share same when they're made by others, which, like I said earlier, encourages them to say even more hateful things. The likes and shares give them some sort of emotional or mental high.

I have wonderful friends, a couple of them, on the forum. Cool dudes if you meet them outside. But the forum seems to be fast corrupting their mind. It's saddening.
