The problem doesn't seem to be the government but the people themselves.
In 2017/2018 we complained bitterly about the economy and when election period came in 2019, you will ask yourself where the votes buhari got came from.

Politics aside, every one in the country knows something is fundamentally wrong with Nigeria. It will take the grace of God to break forth into progress as a regular youth.

No equity, tribal sentiments, No job, police brutality, no light, no water, too much poverty, too much hunger...
Every where just hard, everywhere just hard any how

The suffer con be like normal level. Some Nigerians even pride themselves as strong based on how good they have suffered instead of them to fight for themselves

When I think about how I have walked far and wide under the sun looking for job, Omo tears go just start to dey flow for my eyes.
Wetin man go do now.

I didn't vote buhari I voted Jonathan sir, right from time I knew Jonathan was better than buhari, buhari got history of how he hadled this country during military era where he subjected everybody into abject poverty. When the igbos then in 2015 were strongly against buhari contesting as president I knew their reason and I was never in support. During Jonathan's time a litre of fuel was 160 per liter and a dollar was 150 to180 the life that Nigerians enjoyed then cannot be compared to now a Life better than what Jonathan gave us is what we want not the one buhari has given us.
It pained me that Jonathan lost the election den and thank God even those screaming Sai baba of which I know u were among are the ones suffering today and I know u are benefiting from this government. When I see an urchin I spot them with ease!!!
Okay, now I see where your problem is : you didn't vote for Buhari but voted for the ogogoro-guzzling man from Otueke, who happens to be in the bandwagon of recycled leadership. So what right now do you have to complain ? None.

Secondly , why do you insist on me being an urchin when it's quite obvious that have I no affiliation to Tinubu, or his band of degenerates...? Anyway, why I am exchanging words with a female. Bye

Nigerians aren't really suffering abeg . All we have is just corruption and that one can be handled . If you think you have it bad , just try visiting Yemen or Syria or better still India and see how people are making mud cakes to eat and survive. You'll thank God.

And by the way, if you still dey collect 60-80k in this 9ja, then you're a big boy o.

A person earning 80K is in poverty

who go con dash you 80k just like that even if it's poverty?
You'll still have to work for it but even that 80k salary job is scarce.

Come to northern Nigeria . You'll see people who are paid 3k a month to clean toilets in primary schools.

People are really suffering and going through depression and frustration. That's why I chose to be peaceful and lenient with people I come across. I don't know the battle each person is fighting.

My only hope is to get out of this country.

Thank god I was finally able to pick my passport after almost 2 years of trying.

Hopefully, before the year runs out or early 2024, I shall be in Manitoba.

I’ve decided to stay single & not have anything to do with any Nigerian girl & also to avoid unnecessary stress from hustling to survive.

Only to learn truck driving.

I am sorry to be the bringer of bad news but pretty much everywhere things are looking to go down south. I do not know how things are where you're planning to move to, but I can tell you that things are going downhill even in the wider "West" - I'm Italian, and I've not seen a "good" year since I've become an adult and started working, be it in Italy, Switzerland, Germany or East Europe.

Salaries are not keeping up with the increasing cost of life anywhere, at least from what I've seen/read online/heard from pals living abroad.

I speak only for Western Europe, but the overall feeling is one of terminal decline - forget the big house that the previous generations were able to easily afford, forget the large families your grandparents told you about since you won't be able to afford it over here...forget the nice, cushy job that one imagines when he/she thinks about the Western world.

I hope things are better where you're planning to move to

It's okay to feel overwhelmed and lost. But please remember, you are not alone in your struggles. Your life has purpose and you have so much to offer the world. Reach out to a friend, loved one, or mental health professional for support. Your life is valuable, and things can get better with time and help. Stay strong and hold on. Please!
