Thanks. I just went through it. My question is it's my dependant that is working as carer, pls the phrase below is not clear " If you’re eligible, your dependants can also get a refund. You must include them in your application". If my dependant is applying for refund, will it cover me the primary applicant who is a student and will her own also cover for the children. Thanks rayralph: |

Adedoks: This is a blatant lie. It is near impossible for that huge amount of money to leave your account and you wont know which account it csame out from The agent can print all bank statements and trace it at the time payment was made (I am sure a succesful email was sent following payment) Hold the agent for neck 2 Likes |

hustla: Do you know how many payments agents make ........ Unfortunately, due to limitations and restrictions, many individual accounts are used to facilitate payments........ If payments - sources and person's are not documented by the agent, would be difficult to track refunds ..........😁 |

hustla: If the agent made over 400 payments, with improper records keeping........ Where do you start from........ The simplest way forward is the applicant, redirecting the payment........ If not, someone would be having an early xmas present........😂🤣 |

Me I don't even understand why people use agents for UK visa application. I feel it's laziness, unless there are factors I don't know about sha. If you're confidently literate enough to be processing your visa to work or study in the visa, nothing should stop you from being able to read, ask questions and apply for yourself. It's such a well documented process. 7 Likes |

koonbey: Unfortunately, even without using agents it is a hassle to get a card for international payment in Nigeria without buying at black market rate. So, people negotiate with total strangers and meet in public places for these transactions too. There should be a means to change the account for the refunds. 2 Likes |

Pogracious:To build your score - apply for a credit card and use wisely - https://americanexpress.com/en-gb/referral/dAVIdEzYpk?XL=MNMNS To rebuild - then we need more details on what happened to the score .. though a credit card would help, as well as direct debit bills payments, rent reporting (credit ladder) et al.. 1 Like |

To further buttress my point, in Canada as of today the average salary is $75k per annum which equates to 4K per month after taxes. The average 2021-2023 car costs approximately $800 per month coupled with insurance cost of $400 per month and fuelling costs of $300 per month. Before the twinkle of an eye, you are set back $1,500 per month because u want to drive a brand new car and show off to people that don’t care about what u drive. This is all relative. I don’t believe getting a brand new car or phone or even credit card and mortgage should be the top priority of a new immigrant but circumstances differ and what works for one may not work for the other. I have been here long enough to know that having a brand new car works better for me. My monthly rental is less than £250 (including free servicing for 3 years) and my car insurance (full comprehensive with protected NCD) is about £220 per annum so no the total cost of the car, insurance and deposit is not significant in the grand scheme of things for me. I would rather rest assured that my car is in excellent condition and ready to go when required than buy a second hand that would breakdown without warning and leave me stranded in the middle of no where. To give you an idea, I once bought a 3 year old car in 2013 and the car served me for approximately 4 years before developing an irrepairable fault - spent over £3,000 trying to diagnose and repair the car before eventually trading it in as deposit for a brand new car. For starters, the garages charge between £45 and £80 per hour for labour, you will also have to contend with the run around from the mechanics as is typical of tradesmen in this country. So I don’t agree that a second hand car is always the most cost effective option. At the end of the day, there is no right or wrong option. It all depends on our individual circumstances and past experiences. 12 Likes |
