the news news of directive will circulate today, trust me, unless the supreme court say otherwise sorry na your name if you still have bulk old notes in your possession

I wonder why people don't like this policy?
What we should be clamouring for is for them to print more new currency for it to properly circulate among the people.
Only Tinubu fans don't see the goodness of this new policy.
Too much old Naira is in circulation. It is not good for our economy.
Can anyone just tell me one reason why this is not a good policy?

The only fool I see here is you. That's because you don't even responsible for your own needs not to talk of being responsible for others. Go round the town (banks, ATMs, markets and shops) and see what hardships your parents, uncles, friends are passing through
The question you should asked yourself is what is the use of a currency that's not bankable to me.

I still have about 5k old currency but i believe that tomorrow's supreme court judgement may avert CBN governor's announcement today.

Change comes with a price... it doesn't come at your convenient.
I don't blame you, after all you don't have responsibilities, perhaps you have cash stashed somewhere and not feeling the heat like others that's why you de yarn dust. Who knows, maybe you're still living with your parents, hence insulated from the everyday woes of countless Nigerians. PS Don't forget to thank your mum for the meals you hear.

The guy wants Nigerians to hold on until election before he will pump in enough cash.

Some people are busy buying the new notes, honestly.

Bro, na to sacrifice sales today o.

With the way this thing is going, they may not extend it.
It is better to let customers know you don't accept it again, than running at loss by the time people buy your goods with the old currency and the money come dey stuck with you.

Emefiele, your defiance is nothing but a charade. This is a “Try a luck” policy. In all the policies the apex bank has brought so far, this is the stupidest of them all.

People can’t access their funds, shortage of the new currency, POS charges skyrocketing even for the old notes all in a situation where Nigerians have found themselves in hyperinflation. You and this APC government are a disgrace to modern day government and banking!

You are the disgrace, you lack common basic economic sense, few or restrictive liquid money in circulation brings inflation abi - stupid fool, look for another reason nonsense and ingredients

In a Sane country, Emefiele would have since been arrested and thrown in jail for Gross misconduct and absolutely stupidity.

How can a CBN governor be giving an official statement 4 days after the proposed deadline? angry Emefiele is a Mumu man.

Isn't it crazy? After customers go don beat bank staff finish, he feels this is the right time to release a statement....eddioot

See beyond TODAY, do not let the convenience of today rob you off the greats of tomorrow.

Change is constant. adaptation is the requirement for survival as a living thing. If you fail to adapt, then natural selection will run it course.

I am well affected as the guy next door, but I've accepted reality and adjusted to adapt, while the guy next door refuses to adjust.

Na racism and supernatural hatred on your. Nyamiris. They will bring money and buy from you and you will call them better customer. when those your Alamajiri brothers go to their shop to beg they will fill their pains and they will give them arm.
Question is those wicked politicians do they have access to them talkless of them given them their daily food. If we all are one Nigeria stop letting all those negativity fill your head and start thinking of the new Nigeria and how it will work better for me and u because we are the one suffering it most .

Realists:
Son of Devil has spoken, this guy is a mole planted by those who sponsored the 1966 coup d'etat that destroyed Nigeria's growth and development.
What an evil excuse because you want to catch a Rat, you will set your farm on fire ?. Election will come and go but Nigeria's economy will feel the brunt of the Nyamiri village square economy system.

Any policy that does not take into effect the strain on the masses is a dumb policy! Even the mighty America did not discard old notes once the new ones came out, they gradually replaced them over years and up till now, you can still take old notes to the banks and they'll collect it.....Are you saying Nigeria is wiser then them?

Furthermore, replacing old notes with new notes to curb inflation while continuing to borrow money, big government and wasteful spending is comical grin grin grin. Your fixation on Tinubu is also laughable so let me tell you one simple fact today, even if the masses don't have access to new notes, person like Tinubu already has billions stashed, na una dey do una sef because worse comes to worst, he will spend dollars. Know this and know peace......Ire ooooooo!
