The relevance is that vandalism is a crime. It’s always best to stay away from criminals. When people send broadcasts like “them Dey riot for so so place, avoid that area until peace is restored”, e get why.

I am not happy with the way this policy he been handled but I will not be in the midst of people causing mayhem in the name of protests.

As you said though, only he could have explained properly but o ti lo.

This can happen to anyone.. including you. A protest can be triggered anywhere and a passerby concurrently hit by a stray bullet while trying to navigate to safety.

He's in a better position to answer that question but he can't now because he's dead.

Other people you saw destroying those Banks are also people's cousins, brothers, uncle, fathers inlaws etc. So what's the relevance of this your question.

Modified : His friends said they were not even actively participating in the violent protest. They were just passers-by who happened to be in the crossfire..

It could be a lie or not. Nobody knows anymore than the dead 19 year old Osamuyi.
We are in the same situation in the north but no one has destroyed anything here. Southerners should learn to calm down a bit. Everything is not resolved with violence

Exactly. People that are actively involved in the protest hardly get hit by stray bullets...

By the way how can a police restrain protesters with real bullets.

The truth is the truth.I lived in the UK for more than twenty years and on getting back I realized that Nigerians are very daft comparatively and that someone with a GCSE in Britain is more intelligent than a Nigerian degree holder. Nigerians are impulsive, lack control and are easily tempted
.The economic well being of a country is directly linked to the collective intelligence of the citizenry. Nigeria is messed up because the people there are cognitively stymied.

It doesn’t matter if he was active or not . Material things are replaceable . Life can’t be replaced . It shows how useless our security forces are . Why shoot at protesters ? Were they carrying guns ? It is just horrible what your family has to go through because Buhari wants to frustrate politicians . His Blood is on Buhari , Emefiele and all that have contributed to hoarding the notes and this unnecessary shortage .

Sorry for your loss. People should learn how to stay away from troubled spot. Revisit the video where he was shot and you will understand that a passerby can not be in the midst of that crowd. He got a bullet in his chest which means he was in the forefront of the crisis. May God rest his soul.
