I Hope i won’t be the only blaming the hospital for this, I mean a pregnant woman walked into your clinic with complains and you’re waiting to receive alert before attending to her. Bank transfer do fail even when there was no cashless policy.

the banks were aware of the challenges the cashless policy would be associated with, they had over 90 days to upgrade their IT infrastructure. Mediocrity is the reason why Nigeria is a pariah state. The MD of those banks and their board are supposed to have resigned their appointments.

The banks can hoard and auction the new notes, but they can't have enough infrastructure to accommodate the surge.

Mad people everywhere

That's not what I asked. Pls read the questions first and answers accordingly.

Is it by creating naira scarcity that you stop kidnapping?

Many of the kidnappers especially those in the north are known to this govt and it's agencies? Why were they not arrested all this while? If the nigerian could go all the way to kidnap nnamdi kanu, how it can't arrest kidnappers in zamfara and katsina states? Who is deceiving who?

It's now banks you are blaming for the pains Nigerians are experiencing. How is their fault? How do you want banks to "step up their IT infrastructure' in 3 months?

If stepping up IT infrastructure was the goal, does it make sense to create cash confusion before asking banks to step up their IT infrastructure? That is like building a house from the roof instead of the foundation.

In terms of pains caused to Nigerians, why is the govt not supplying cash to the banks? Will that cause comfort to Nigerians? Where are the new bills? They say bring your old bills. Where are the new bills wee are supposed to get in return?

Who are the elite that have weaponisef poverty? Is buhari not part of them? Is his deliberate attempt at creating naira scarcity causing prosperity or poverty?

one animal here was telling me a few days ago that the whole world has gone cashless that Nigeria shouldn’t be left behind.just like telling a young man that has not made money that all his age mates are getting married that he should go and get married.Nigeria cannot go cashless we don’t have the internet for that.If u do a transfer abroad before u sign out u have been debited and the person u r sending to have confirmed ur payment.

How did banks handle the introduction of ATM into the banking system? Were they "forced" to upgrade their IT infrastructure?

All the e channels you have been enjoying, were banks "forced" to provide them before they did?

Are there no better ways of getting banks to upgrade their IT infrastructure than using force? If the policy is a good one, why the use of force?
yes, they were indirectly compelled to upgrade. If you fail to upgrade, you go out of business. That's exactly what is going to happen now. Their survival in business requires an upgrade, so they would upgrade.

You can imagine that some individuals waited until the last day before going to deposit their money.... They were literally forced to go and deposit their cash....

Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospital is owned by Kano State govt, are doctors now in charge of payments in state owned clinics?? Caesarean section is an elective option that the woman should have been presented with before her EDD. This story is still incomplete.

.very simple thing dey should have collected the man bvn and national id card and go along with the treatment then until the treatment will be done if they didn't see d money then the man can still be detained in the hospital pending when d alert will roll in very simple ... kiss

Illitracy na disease oo the just wasted the life of the mother and child 😢😭😭 7
If they detain anyone because of money now you people will still cry out that the hospital is being wicked. I'm sad to hear about the deaths of both mother and child, but the fact is that a lot of things need to be fixed in this country, and it's not just at the government level alone, every company and institution need to up their game for things to get better. For example it is an aberration for a whole hospital of that status not to have POS machines

Once upon a time, the front page of this forum was constantly filled with news of kidnap and banditry.

All of a sudden, we go days and weeks without such bad news. Why? Because of this cashless policy.

There's no doubting the efficacy of this policy. However, banks need to step up their IT infrastructure to minimize the pains on Nigerians.

This country can be better. The elites that have weaponized poverty are holding us back.

Obviously, you know next to nothing about IT infrastructure.

You think servers are things you just order and buy overnight?

You think banks will spend hundreds of millions to procure servers, storage and personnel only for another government to revert the policy in a few months and the new servers become redundant?!

Please, avoid commenting on topics you know nothing about.

Whose hands will her blood be upon now, is it the hospital or the government or those that want to perform the work of police and CBN

Blame the hospital...a sensible hospital will start operating a treating a person to save his life first...when you get better that's when they demand for the money and they wont let you leave until you've paid that's how it's done...not to be waiting for transfer before you know the person is dead..they should sue that hospital

Nigeria hospitals and healthcare professionals don’t actually understand what emergency 🆘 medical services means how can they be waiting for an alert before attending to the woman? Such hospital or doctor and nurses on duty should have been fired for killing an innocent woman and unborn child, this is same way they allowed Rico Swavey bleed to death while they were busy laughing and making videos, an emergency situations in hospital requires urgent attention because every moments brings the person closer to the grave if not quickly attend to, but in Nigeria most especially government hospitals the manner at which they handle emergency you will think that we Nigerians have a spare life, this situation is so pathetic and they needs to be reoriented about handling such cases. Save life first before asking for money.
