Soludo borrowed N10Billion in his first 3 months of assumption of office. He has also planned to get further loans. Is that a Prof of Economics that you can trust? Not my kind of Prof.

Check this thread for what Peter Obi did without borrowing shi-shi in 8 years of his administration: https://www.nairaland.com/7424096/peter-obi-built-all-these

Soludo is a mere classroom Prof while Peter Obi is a field administration Prof.

There is nothing wrong in borrowing as long as the funds is put into good use. It is way better than just paying salaries to civil servants for eight years with no serious capital project to show..

Let me leave you alone because you just don't want to believe that Peter Obi did anything in Anambra. It is your opinion. grin

Soludo actually applied for a loan of N100 billion and not N10 billion as you stipulated which has already been approved by the Anambra State House of Assembly but he hasn't received the money yet.

Sorry, N100b. Thanks for the observation. On whether Gov Soludo has received the loan, I think he has because the loan approval was given since July 2022, i.e about 8 months ago.

The best durable capital project you can build for your people is education and health. These two, Peter Obi excel in them and no type of eraser can erase that in the anal of governance. The schools he built, the hospitals he built what are they called? It's also on record that he constructed over 800km road network but I am surprise that a governor is building 14k of road and it becomes a thing to celebrate. Please who do us this thing in Nigeria, that we celebrate mediocrity? God, this is enough.

For your information, Soludo has flaggedoff and awarded over 265km of road construction all round the state in less than one year.

You know the difference? Peter Obi built all his legacy projects without borrowing a dime from the bank. It was on record that he built over 800km of roads for the good people of Anambra. How much has the Prof. borrowed so far? Your guess is as good as mine.
Note, there is nothing wrong in borrowing but the culture of borrowing for consumption is what is killing us as a country and people. Borrow should be put or invested into productive ventures and thing that will bring production to the state. Check around all states and the nation, our borrowings have always been driven to consumption and every government come and heap on the debt profile and we the citizens clap for them. We are developing nation, we cannot continue to emulate developed societies. It's killing us than we know. A developed nation that already had all physical structures that can provide employment for her citizens and even outsiders, we will be comparing ourselves with them in term of borrowing. Is that not insane?

If Peter Obi had not saved where will he find the funds to initiate such infrastructure?
World Bank or IMF?
