Biafra Can Exist Without Breaking Off From Nigeria by Or11: 9:54pm On Feb 23, 2023
The country of Biafra can exist without breaking off from Nigeria and why I say this is:

Nigeria was colonized by UK and check this, UK is made up of three countries which we all know are England, Wales and Scotland. If we follow the steps of our colonial masters, maybe just maybe we can be a great nation. Let Biafra be a country, Arewa be a country and Oduduwa be a country and under the umbrella of Nigeria. These three countries should have a leader and then Nigeria has its own leader these countries report to. I would have said let Nigeria be a kingdom with a king but then which ethnic group will be king?

If any of you have any better ideas pls comment because this idea just popped in my head and decided to pen it down and also share it.

Prime minister should be rotational among the three Nations

This what caused the Biafra civil war because of oil proceeds

Now we don't even have fuel; we even borrow to import fuel??

Shame on APC and it's supporters

Sounds like a brilliant idea, rotate the prime minister within the three major ethnic groups

Nigeria historically has always been three regions.. North, West and the Eastern NOT what we call Geo political zones today with some regions having high number of States than the other..

Nigeria needs serious fundamental reformation for peace and unity

Adopt a UK like system of government in Nigeria with a rotatinal prime minister .

if we go by ethnicity do you know how many nations that would birth from Nigeria?? About 200 to 500 ethnic groups as a country??

The uniqueness amongst all the regions are clear enough!

Western Nigeria people

Northern Nigeria people

Eastern Nigeria people

In terms of cultural dispensation, language similarities, Religion etc

oga, nigeria started from two regions in 1900,,,which are north and south.....1914,,this two regions were merged together.......then 1940s the two regions were corrupted to three regions, north, west and south,,,,but within few years, those fraudulent three regions were made collapsed by through fierce protests from Ijaws and niger deltans in 1964 and 1967 respectively..

it will be over the death of Ijaws and niger deltans to go back to those fraudulent two regions they destroyed with lots of blood..

So if we want to go back, then it should be the first two regions that start nigeria

NOBODY WILL JOIN WITH IBOS IN ANYTHING.
IBOS ARE TOXIC AND LEAST DESIRED IN WANT OF ASSOCIATION.
NIGER DELTA WILL RATHER GO WITH YORUBA OR EVEN AREWA THAN IBOS.
IBOS MUST LEARN TO STAND ALONE OR STAND PERPETUAL CONDEMNATION.

Below is the map of the 'Lesotho' you are proposing inside Nigeria. You will need even airspace and land clearance from Nigeria and like Lesotho citizens are mostly poor illegal migrants in SA so you are proposing for the citizens of the 'Lesotho' you are proposing inside Nigeria. kolewek o wink

This was the system the UK left us with at independence. Guess who was against it - Nnamdi Azikiwes NCNC. And after the igbo coup, the first thing Ironsi did was follow the NCNC plan of unifying the country with 'a strong centre controlling the resources of all the regions'.

The igbos think we will forget this history. The minorities in the SW requested their own region and Awolowo gave them the mid-western region. The SE minorities protested for years and the SE leaders never bulged.
The same Azikiwe that came to Lagos to make a speech about Western region not accomodating their minorities during the discussions SW were having, did not even entertain the minorities of the SE in any discussion. E don tey, no be today.

That 'distribution of cannibalism' map though....

You have to wonder 'why just the Igbos'?

Why is that they alone have that tradition of cannibalism?

It's an interesting cultural question.

If that will be the case, then don't expect that you will enjoy the same benefits you enjoy anywhere you currently live other that the region you are from.

UK has 4 nations or has N.Ireland left the UK?
The British actually left us in Nigeria with the same system as UK, we had 3 then, it was an igbo coup military dictator that suspended it in 1966 because Yorubaland was prosperous.

Your idea is a good one but I doubt the 3, it should be like 6 nations. Greed won't let Nigeria accept even the British style because some regions love what's in another region more than what's in their own.

There are 4 nations in UK and there money though pound but different notes. It gives them identity and money from Ireland is not taken to London to be shared. They actually treat each other like humans. They don't talk about scam unity like Nigeria, they just respect each other and territories. In comparison, Nigeria is an animal farm.

Rotating would cause some regions to not do the right thing since they are going to have the power no matter what. This is why it's important for every region to control everything but general army and imigration, with regions still in control of some imigration and army. For example you don't want an igbo prime minister to use Yorubaland as a test run for refugee camp for, let say a war breaks out in another country and wanted to bring in 100,000 refugees he doesn't want in his own region. Our local imigration will have to be the one to make that final decision.

That's the point of true federalism. Lots of countries are basically nations inside a country. The UK is not a good example because England and London have more political power than the rest.

I'll use Finland as a perfect example of a country inside a country. The island of Aland (the Swedish speaking part) is officially a Finnish territory, buts it's a different world entirely with full autonomy.

They have their own armed forces, official language, Constitution, educational policy, language, coastal guard, basically all the arms needed to run a country. Only in area of defence, monetary and foreign policy that they share with mainland Finland.

I don't support the break up of Nigeria, but a Nigeria where every region determine their own fate, and not be controlled from far away Abuja by people who don't have the local know how and never been there before.
