Go download Opay/Palmpay and have peace of mind.
I've been using these 2 apps since last month and they never disappoint.
Receiving money is within 5 secs (almost instantly).
After closing at night, I move all the money into my main bank account.
That's how I do it everyday.
Bank apps will frustrate you.
All drivers should go and be using either of the 2 apps.
Much respect, boss.

E haling cpys are not left out in this downsizing of a thing. Bolt just laid off 17 of its staff in Nigeria. That's like 24% work force reduction. shocked That's huge o. and getting 1 or 2 months as severance pay...
It means their revenues did not really appreciate especially 2022..

@ Glithronix.. it was just a matter of time. One thing I can deduce is Bolt revenues nosedived seriously, that's why they cut staff. You can't make more and still cut staff,
Entrance of new players- Lagride, indrive, Rida,Anayer,Roosca etc.
Previously, at least 60% of all the riders and drivers on these new apps would have been remitting steadily to Bolt. But that's not possible again.

I never believe Bolt will be so stubborn not to reduce their 25% commission. Immediately indrives and d rest came in, bolt would have reduced commission from 25% to 10 or 15% and stop this there bonus here and there.

Of a truth, they can't reduce commission to 10%. Its like telling someone with different assets to commit suicide because of an invasion, he/she will rather let the assets go to save the ship.

Most times, the bonus is a decoy for drivers to help them achieve their revenue benchmark, its not free, because there's a proviso attached to it,so they can't stop dishing it out.

@ xana.
Most corporations make expenditures 'going forward',then they try to recoup such expenses by driving their revenues.
For instance, they could cede say ' 100 million naira on advertising.. after spending such,it is expected that they recoup more than 100m from their revenues... and you need 25% commission to get those kind of big numbers, so 10% won't cut it for them.

I think the first major thing is to remove the DS. If they can do that and then maybe reduce the commission to 20%, I bet they will come back on top. That DS is a major issue

Hello guys. I own a Corrola and decided to give e hailing a trial base on current situations as money is needed. My first trip was 1,700 naira but it looks like a loss to me as before I picked passenger I was in traffic for about 30mins. She had to use bike to meet me to start trip. I was paid via transfer. And I am only registered on Indrive. My questions are below.

1. How much is indrive Commision and how do they get it? Because I was paid via transfer off the app.

2. I found it easier to register on indrive. I want to register for bolt. Do you think it’s worth it? Because I realize majority of drivers here talk down on bolt and also which other e hailing app should I register on?

3. Please very important, which routes should I avoid In Lagos state? I’m only familiar with ojodu and ogba area of Lagos state. In fact I don’t know my way to the island. Please I need advice on google map and areas to avoid.

4. I noticed riders don’t accept my ride if I click on the highest amount. Is it that all drivers go with the riders amount request or there’s a way around it?

I await your replies and if there’s a WhatsApp group please I will like to be added.

My friend lost his front number plate yesterday. Please, any suggestions on how to go about getting another one at a reasonable price? Is there any security issue with losing a number plate? Does it require making a police report?

Please help.

You are a baby cab driver,be very careful, traffic for 30 mins to pick up ke,don't pick any ride showing more than 900 metres to pick up and use navigation to get there.maybe you should hold on and get familiar with Lagos route first cause any mistake is unforgivable by lastma touts their penalties for traffic offences na like war.try and book ride urself and discuss with drivers.as per commission use your bank card to pay with the app. Maybe you should start reading from page 5000 sha.aviod satellite town at all cost and ikorodu.and the way you say you don't know your way to island is very scary sha no go, carry pesin go where dem no know.

Why is it funny to you?

Ever since I started driving and mind you, I learnt driving and started with manual trans for 6 years before driving auto cars, so am used to both trans and I use both legs to drive manual and auto till kingdom come and I love it. Its the best experience encountered.

So everybody sticks with whats convenient with dem, I don't have to accept ur method because its the norm. My contribution though

Yes, he will need a police report and a court affidavit. Let him visit the court, they have people that do it for a token.

He will also need to do a reprint of the plate number. The last time I did it, it was 15k. I don't know what the current price is.

You are still learning to drive automatic if indeed you use two legs for it. If I were you I’d focus on re-learning how to use one foot for your auto pedals.

Driving with both feet on an auto will be bad for your vehicle’s gearbox + brakes and other road users behind you.

Imagine when you’re throttling and at the same time your left foot is slightly touching your brake pedals . . . You’re just confusing your cars brainbox and the person behind you will have his brain also paining him because he will be seeing your brake lights on but instead of you slowing down you will be accelerating.

Stick to manuals if you use two feet and leave autos for those who have the willpower to multitask with just one foot.

I do not lament over any ehailing app. When any ehailing app do not meet my desired profit target, I simply switch.
I have been using bolt solely for destination trips, when I want to go back home, simply out of necessity.
Even with the 25% commission, they still threaten to block my account for low activity... as of now bolt app is simply gathering cobwebs.
