The Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, has defeated the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance in the presidential poll held at polling unit 017, Agụ Awka Ward located in the Government House.

Obi scored 61 votes to defeat the APGA presidential candidate, who scored zero votes.

The particular polling unit is populated with civil servants, government functionaries and others.

Obi won despite the fact that Governor Chukwuma Soludo had directed the civil servants to vote for APGA during a retreat in December 2022.

The Peoples Democratic Party also got two votes, while the All Progressives Congress scored zero votes.

For the Senate, the senatorial candidate of LP, Chief Victor Umeh scored 49, Dozie Nwankwo of APGA scored eight, Uche Ekwunife of PDP scored five and APC scored one.

For the House of Reps, LP candidate, Lilian Orogbu, 51; APGA seven; PDP four; zero for APC and one invalid vote.

This is a vestige that iniquity, either sooner or later, is always rewarded with stark woes and mental strife against rationale. Hence his unmeirited and unmeritorious harangue and calumny against his sponsor's benefactor!
Soludo rode on Obi's masterstroke performance and his endearing APGA'S legacy to win the gubernatorial election that prior fudged him .
But like an ungreatful Buhari would do, he chose erringly to counterbalance the man that made his emergency as a governor in Anambra a probable success after severally severe and failed previous outings .
Now the foot is on the other leg because soludo just shot his foot that would inauspiciously lead to a necessitation of his lame, unsuccessful later reelection bid!

A politically strong obi in this dispensation is a strong electoral capital for anyone who’ll be the flag bearer of LP in the next governorship election.

Such will lose a massive threat to Soludo’s second term.
