A top consultant of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Olatubosun Adeniyi Kuku, has been caught on tape revealing that Bola Tinubu, the flag bearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), would offer $170 million to the commission’s officials to manipulate the results of the presidential elections across Nigeria.
“Asiwaju is giving INEC $170 million,” Mr Kuku, who described himself as the number one consultant for the commission, told an official in the audio obtained by Peoples Gazette this week. “We will share it around; everybody will do the bidding.”

Ahead of the party’s presidential primary elections in June 2022, sources told this outlet that Mr Tinubu offered delegates bribes to secure their votes as the APC flag bearer.

The delegates confirmed to The Gazette that the APC flagbearer induced Ogun delegates with $25,000 and Adamawa $10,000.

Voting rights activist Greg Adesuwa said Mr Kuku’s disclosure about what he did with Mr Tinubu was not entirely new to Nigerian elections, which have for decades been characterised by violence, ballot box stuffing and outright rigging often linked to candidates and their political agents.

“This INEC contractor said Tiinubu was looking to bribe officials to the humongous amount mentioned, that is beyond disturbing,” Mr Adesuwa told The Gazette. “I hope the security agencies will work to investigate the man’s claim and hold all his co-conspirators to justice in this country.”

Mr Adesuwa said Nigerian politicians should move beyond seeing election as a violent and corrupt process and instead focus on polishing their ideas to make them sellable to the masses

1.Tinubu is highly overrated. He is not street credible. He is a paper weight politician that is powered by thuggery, ballot snatching and all that.

2.Structures that noise is being made about is structure of criminality, snatching and destroying democratic processes.

3. If Lagosians come out to vote the way they did yesterday and with a 60% free and fair election, the hold of tinubu on Lagos will be taken away. sanwolu will lose governorship.

4. Nyesome wike is overrated. With a 60% free and fair governship election, his candidate will lose woefully.

5.As a senatorial or house of rep aspirant, follow a good presidential that is loved, whether you are known or not, you will win.

They went behind and compromised the entire BVAS system and disabled it from uploading presidential election results directly from the polling units .

I worked as a presiding officer yesterday,I complained of same issue to my Spo.
He then explained that the camera on the bvas is just 10mega pixels,one need to ensure the camera is well place to capture the result clearly.
It still doesn't change the fact that inec is the most useless organisation I've seen so far

INEC officers were at fault.
They probably not trained well.

Numerous Nigerian politicians fought INEC ,asking them not to upload the election results with the BVAS directly from the polling units.

But for 3 years , this INEC chairman fought them off (including in courts ) insisting that he will and must upload all results to the INEC server directly from the polling units .
.Nigerians supported him in their numbers ..


Now the time has come for that to happen , LO AND BEHOLD , NOT A SINGLE BVAS MACHINE WAS ABLE TO UPLOAD PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RESULTS FROM THE POLLING UNITS .

I dont even understand. most uploads in Southern Nigeria are blurry, especially in Delta State, but the results uploaded in Northern Nigeria are clear. this country is horrible.

I remembered when I did PVC replacement, during capturing, the pictures taken were rejected because they didn't meet the said standard. I have to keep capturing my face before it was accepted.
I viewed my state results on lnec portal, the few results that were there were all blur result sheets. I didn't see the figures written on the sheets.
In every evil done, you will definitely see someone who will support it.

Uploading Compromised and forged results won't do us Good.
It only means that Nigeria is not a Sane Society... Soon I'm out of this zoo.

Elections that we should have known where we are by now almost 24hrs later we are still in limbo as to what's really going on. The rigging usually goes on in those collation centers.
