Have You Noticed What The Top 4 Contestants Have In Common? by AlaafinOfOyo(op): 11:15pm On Feb 27, 2023
I noticed a pattern among the two northern and two southern candidates of Atiku, Kwankwanso and Obi, Tinubu respectively.

The northerners
What you can't miss in Atiku and Kwankwanso is their arrogance. A clear belief in their abilities to win individually. Let's look at this:

Kwankwanso

What is obvious is that this is a guy that overestimated himself. Call it arrogance. Nearly every observer knew he stood no chance beyond Kano, yet he somehow believe in some phantom popularity that he even turned down the opportunity for a great alliance with the LP man who is obviously a bigger force than he.

Atiku

This is a guy who seems to look condescendingly on southerner politicians. This is my hunch. Atiku doesn't know his ability, apparently due to arrogance. He came off as someone who thinks himself as an institution. You see, he had everything going for him. All he needed was unite PDP but in his bloated ago, he probably thought his popularity in the north and parts of the south would win him presidency. Imagine a man who could have brought the G5 and Obi under one umbrella. He couldn't because he somehow believed that southern politicians are or should just tag along. Party leader and former VP status seemed to be his source of arrogance.

The southerners

What's obvious about these guys is that they know their abilities. Tinubu and Obi are clearly aware what they're capable of accomplishing.

Tinubu

This guy never overestimated himself. That's why he embraced his party and the people that could help him rig the election as if his life depended on it. He was modest enough to understand that given a level playing field, he'd likely not win 4 states. So his election strategy has always been to rig himself in at all cost. Statements such as fighting dirty, grabbing power and running with it clearly illustrated that this is a guy who knows he can never win an election but could steal it.

Obi

Hmmm.... this guy knows his appeal and worked on building it. He is a man who knows the power of the people and fixated on selling himself to the people. I have the feeling that he's aware that he can win it, but still was willing to accommodate every alliance possible. Come to think of it. Without rigging, he actually won this. Even with rigging, his name alone sent many from an obscure parry to the National Assembly. In my opinion, Obi is the most influential politician alive in Nigeria today. An Aminu Kano of sorts.

You're actually right in most of your observations. Even though Kwankwaso is definitely arrogant he still knows he won't win. He has his own plans.

Sadly the biggest winner in Nigeria's politics is not the most loved or most popular, it is the one with the biggest money bag. We all know who that is!

It's now obvious to me that Nigeria will never get better. Because Tunibu will be worse than Buhari, but I strongly believe the court will cancel many polling units, wards & LGA's because I know that Obi will go challenge them in court .

My exact sentiments exactly. It would be very wrong to allow such daylight robbery, a brazenly stollen mandate like this to stand.

Instead, let the military take over than to allow Nigeria and Nigerians suffer such shame and disgrace in the eyes of the global community.

Tinubu must never be allowed to rule via an election he never won or merited.

Nobody is politically infallible except God. Every political Goliath has a David chosen by God to disgrace him, every political Pharoah has a Moses that would deliver God's people from him.

The Lagos State presidential election 2023 results will forever serve as a reference point , case study, topics for Sunday bible study , Sunday preaching, retreat praying points, seminar topics, research topic, discussion topic as long as the universe remains.

Who else remembers the blasphemous words, the boasts that only God can stop him, only for God to use a man without structure to dethrone a demagogue from his political kingdom, miracle no dey tire Jesus.
. when this man blasphemed God I knew his political days were numbered and God would use a significantly underrated hero to disgrace him.

Lesson for the period is to remain humble and God fearing no matter what.

I sometimes see most Obiident as sufferings from chronic mental delusion at this point because this is not ordinary anymore.

How do you even think in the first place that Obi will win the election when he wouldn't even secure the 25% in 24 states vote spread?

To win an election in Nigeria, you need an alliance between the core North and One Southern region. If you fail to get it, na bye bye be your case. Or let's say you need the whole South and Middle belt to speak as one.

The write up by the OP is just nonsense. Destroyed every other candidate character and elevated Obi own. Such delusion.
Re: Have You Noticed What The Top 4 Contestants Have In Common? by 2aces(m): 12:45am On Feb 28, 2023
Right from the start I know Obis chances are slim in this particular election, even if Tinubu was not in the race, Atiku would have won, due to the political and moral atmosphere of the country at the moment.
People didn't believe in him earlier until the deadline of voters registration thereby causing millions of voters with vote apathy due to previous disappointments to miss the opportunity to key into his mandate. Also the issue of the north, you see the northern politics is way different from the rest of the country, their vote mainly is based on sentiment and who presents the best offer both in the future and now, which Obi has not put into consideration, due to his moral standing, but all in all he made the smart move of making a sound statement by shaking up the political arena and changing how the game is played for the benefit of the people.
He will get it next time, but he must be ready to put one hand in the mud.

I don't think so. The problem is that he is an outsider. If he was a typical crook like them, they wouldn't rally against him. Also, he would have supported his popularity with rigging the way Buhari did in 2015. I assure you that if Obi were a crooked Igbo politician like Rochas or Orji Uzor Kalu, no one would have rigged him out.

You're joking if you think that Obi would win an election in Nigeria with the organized crime going on. He clearly won this is you may know. Fair election is impossible in the country at the moment and unless the political class experience a real shake up such as cancellation of this result and an interim government or even a putshe, nothing would change in the country. When you have a network of criminals as your political class, forget credible elections.
Nigeria's problem stems from the fact that the first revolution that could have cleaned up the system failed. So we're left with rotten apples.

Another of those that got hoodwinked by Obi's playacting.
