South African Air Force is just as Hopeless as the South African Navy

Major underfunding means that two of the most important helicopter types in the South African Air Force – the Oryx transport and Rooivalk attack helicopter – are largely grounded, with only a handful serviceable at present.

I have a theory that some of these guys encounter Saffer xenophobes elsewhere on social media and bring that rubbish here.

A few times I've seen references to things NOT said by any of us here, and after searching, find out it's some social media contretemps.

Due to the unguaranteed security situation closer to the border with Somalia and poor road networks in these parts, school kids and their teachers returning to boarding schools were required to coordinate with KAF to meet at central locations for them to be airlifted to their already secured schools.
3 years ago, a group of about 5 al-Shabaab men stopped a bus transporting teachers to these schools, separated Christian teachers shot them on the spot. This led to the National Teachers Union vowing that Christian teachers should refuse to be posted in these parts until their security is guaranteed by the government. Hence the airlift program by the airforce.

Addressing the teachers before taking off, Colonel Joel Tanui assured the teachers of their safety in their respective schools and the support of OAB not only in Education but in other sectors as well. “We are beyond grateful to you all for your sacrifice to serve in this area, all the preparations have been made to ensure a safe environment for everyone and we anticipate a successful and positive term at school,” said Colonel Tanui.

On her part, the TSC Lamu County Director Riziki expressed appreciation to KDF for availing transportation and the multi-agency troops that provide security in their area of service, additionally, she said processes are underway to see that more teachers are posted in Lamu County in the ongoing teacher recruitment.

Only one of SA Navy’s four frigates operational; no submarines serviceable

The majority of the South African Navy’s primary combat vessels are not operational, with the frigate SAS Mendi’s seaworthiness prioritised for Armed Forces Day and Exercise Mosi II.

Do you realize that Nigeria doesn't have any frigate?

Like how can you mock someone for having something you yourself don't have.

That particular frigate have more anti-ship missiles than the rest of West Africa combined.

Please if you don't have much to contribute don't bring this up. You do this every once in a year. We're tired of it. It was fun before but now it is borderline ridiculous.

We are not talking about what Nigeria has or doesn't have.

That's not the topic of discussion here.

Labour Party clearly won.

Everyone knows that Labour Party won

Even the partisan divide know themselves the INEC-elect is a purchased pyrrhic victory

The millions of people who came out to vote many of whom couldn't vote for all the glaring rigging strategy, as exit polls show didn't stay in some cases 72 hours in their Polling Units across the country against all odds for a failed APC Party and a degenerat.e candidate.

Nigeria is really a comic place where the rule of law is non-existent which breeds injustice everywhere which in turn creates all of the woes bedeviling the country. No justice no peace. Really we are all just wasting our time.

Now again we are a disgrace to the world

I would take the ANC+DA coalition at any given day over the ANC+EFF one because we all know what that means...

However, it will be very tricky... the DA would have to sit on some state ministerial positions where the ANC is currently looting... I fear for the safety of those DA ministers, imagine the looters being told they can't get dodgy deals because the DA minister does not play along, it opens a possibility for assassinations, especially poisoning.

would be to obvious when DA ministers start dropping dead...also the DA would only go in to coalition with the ANC pending very strict conditions, meaning most of the big ANC looters will be without a job if a DA-Anc coalition does happen

I'm happy with how they run Cape Town, but on principle held my noise and voted for the biggest opposition in the council, which is ANC.
No party should ever receive more than 55%
ever again. And with the DA at 67% in Cape Town, the arrogance of power has started creeping in.

As for our ward councillor, we were not impressed and because many DA higher-ups live in the neighbourhood, it was made very clear to them that if he was the nominee, the Ratepayers Assoc would put up an independent candidate who would win. They transferred him to Parliament and we got a better candidate for whom I could vote.
100% seconded, you always need a strong opposition!!
