This election showed me the true colours of my neighbors to the East.
I regret ever being sympathetic to thier plight.
But I'm glad they lost(I worked towards that). Just imagine how they'll have been oppressing the rest of us.
Ken Saro Wiwa preferred a Hausa/Yoruba dominated country and didn't support an igbo dominated country. The reason is clear.
He preferred to be part of Nigeria instead of Biafra.
The igbos instigated the first coup in Nigeria due to thier greed and thirst and the Yorubas/Hausas have sinced defanged them.

The incidence at Lekki is unfortunate, but why close your eyes to the obvious one at Akwuzu River where bodies were clearly seen?

Lagos government even set up a panel of enquiry into the incidence and all parties represented. Guess what happened somewhere else, someone who should be questioned went to court to prevent being grilled by the panel.

I expect that the same energy deployed in dragging Lagos Govt should be directed to whoever was the Gov at Anambra when the bodies were found at Akwuzu River.

It all reek of double standard, hypocrisy and perhaps a path towards a predetermined agenda.

Mehnn... your contribution hit me differently.

They tell you the reason for their morbid hate for Asiwaju is his age, health and Muslim Muslim tickets. Can you now ask them the reason for all these campaign of calumny against Sanwo-Olu?

Only a fool will willfully surrender political powers to his enemies.
Omo, this election showed me their true colours. D thing fear me...they became complete strangers.
They're using a platform developed by a Yoruba guy to spew thier hate. If reverse was the case, that'll never have happened.

The way people are being bullied online for their support for their political candidate has been so terrifying.
Worst of all, it is some Yorubas playing into the cards of Igbos being used as tools to bring down their own.
If Bola Tinubu performed as horrible as Obi in Anambra, many of them won't be enjoying the atmosphere of Lagos.
This elections has made me more pro-Yoruba. Just like the Northerners protect their own, we need to start defending our own and offering constructive criticisms to our leaders. Not like many of us can do any better if we were leaders.
Rinu, Iyabo Ojo, Marcaroni, Falz, etc and other Yoruba Nairalanders who have been used to mock their own and destroy Lagos all don't deserve to be Yorubas.
Me too...love yours.

If Yorubas have anything called conscience, they ought to be wooing and apologizing to Igbos, but alas Yorubas are the ones screaming about tribalism, how?

Igbos are the only Nigerian tribe that have cheerfully and joyfully supported Presidential candidates from all other tribes since 1979.

In 1979, Igbos massively supported Shehu Shagari an Hausa man, leaving Nnamdi Azikiwe a famous Igbo son.

In 1993, Anambra people gave their vote to MKO Abiola a Yoruba man, leaving an Igbo son Sylvester Ugo who was contesting with Tofa.

in 1999 Igbos again abandoned Odimegwu Ojukwu and voted massively for Olusegun Obasanjo a Yoruba man.

Igbos repeated their massive support for Obasanjo again in 2003 leaving other Igbo contestants.

In 2007 Igbos massively supported Yaradua a Fulani man.

In 2011 Igbos supported Goodluck Jonathan an Ijaw man.

Igbos repeated the same massive support for Goodluck Jonathan in 2015, and even when Goodluck lost to Buhari, Igbos didn't abandon Goodluck like others did, instead Igbos stood defending Goodluck and became the number 1 enemy of Yorubas and Hausa-Fulanis just because of their defense for Goodluck.

In 2019, Igbos supported Atiku Abubakar another Fulani man.

For the first time in history of Nigeria, in 2023, Igbos saw quality in Peter Obi and decided to support Obi even against all odds of him winning under an unknown party, and the only thing Yorubas could do was tag it tribalism because Igbos didn't abandon another more qualified Igbo man to support an old, sick, corrupt Yoruba man called Tinubu.

Obi was busy telling Nigerians how he would change things for the greater good of all, while Tinubu and his supporters went about mocking Peter Obi that he is an IPOB agenda wasting his time and resources contesting under structureless party, that only Igbos would vote for Obi, bla bla bla, yet the same Yorubas are the ones accusing Igbos of tribalism for supporting Obi an Igbo man but Yorubas supporting only their Yoruba sons in Presidential elections doesn't mean tribalism to them.

A Yoruba man Obasanjo was President from 1999 to 2007, another Yoruba man Osinbajo is Vice President from 2015 to end in 2023. Meanwhile an Igbo man haven't occupied Presidential office nor Vice, still Yorubas took it upon themselves that 2023 Presidency is their turn again and instead of wooing and appealing to Igbos, they are threatening Igbos and calling Igbos tribalist for supporting an over qualified Igbo man for President in 2023.

No wahala, if una conscience no tell una that u guys are being wicked, inconsiderate and heartless towards Igbos, I strongly believe that God and the powers that control the affairs of man on earth will pay you Yorubas in your own coin, watch and see, it will only take time.

You guys wouldn't stop playing the victim card.
You mentioned Igbos voting for others against their own people, well, even your elders have always said that for years. Truth is, you guys have never supported yourselves, you're all traitors to yourselves.
Despite Ojukwu's reverence, you guys left him hanging more than twice and you wanna use your treachery to score a cheap political point, go and ask your elders why they wouldn't support their own, don't bring your foolishness and half education on here.
Soludo, and many of your supposed political elites didn't even support the fraud you all call candidate and you're pushing blames to us. Truth is, you guys are unfriendly, untrustworthy, and hateful.

Comments like this shows that Nigeria is a forced union.

We were never meant to be together, u don’t condemn anything from the west without them calling u tribal IPoB.

Once u are against what the power that be in the west want , boom they remind u, they are ur host, they quickly make it a tribal war.

Until the west understand the east don’t see them as enemy the south will never grow.

If I see u as my enemy, I won’t invest in ur community, I won’t buy property and develop business in your land.

[quote author=0monnak0da post=121498814] There is nothing like Ibo friend
The story is told of baby Lion.one day he went missing for hours he returned home to his anxious mother
Where have you been she screamed at him
I was playing with my friend he replied
Friend? His mother repeated
You have friends? Since when, who is your friend?
Baby goat came the reply
Mother lion and father lion exchanged glances.
They had not eaten for two days.
Okay go and sleep mother lion said
It is dark. He moved close to father lion who kicked him angrily
His mother came in their middle and led him away
He said mother I am hungry is there any meat?
She laughed. No my son you go to bed hungry tonight. You were playing with your dinner
We do not have friends in this neighbourhood. We eat goats baby goat is not your friend he is your dinner.
At the same time in the goat household they were having the same conversation. Where have you been? [ you are right. This election sheds more light on this fable.]

How can PO win with southern votes?

In 2015 ACN, Apga, Anpp, cpc and nPDP formed alliance just to defeat Gej of PDP.
2023 the main Opposition that suppose to battle in one accord, fragmented into 3 entities just to win a formidable APC...
They r all claimiing to win the election, which one abeg?

This what happened in Ekiti just last year that made The apc to defeat Both pdp and Sdp.

Segun oni and fayose's candidate were of the same party.
Oni lost the primaries, defected to Sdp, not just alone with Pdp's votes.

If they had agreed to work together, today ekiti would have been governed by a PdP man.

Well you are entitled to your opinion, it's not a matter of who's do what in each other's land. You all always blow out the insignificant things. Prior to now I have attended many maritime conference and majority of Nigerians I see in those conference are of Igbo extraction. Now the argument is why is that a trade dominated by a tribe is now restricted to a region that isn't there's? This is the psychological prisoners setup, if your country and all it's leaders are honest with themselves they know the eastern and southern region ought to have seaports. I have never seen in my life a country with Soo much population locate a seaport in just one region, it is not done anywhere except Nigeria. So don't be fooled my friend, you can't have a large share in running a nations treasury while been denied the right to the political process. You want what's happening to die out? permits to produce seaport should be given to the southerner most region. Till this happens, you all are living in disillusion.
you are the one actually living in delusion….cross river got seaport and the last I check it in the same region you mentioned the south….think before you talk mr man….make valid arguments and take yourself from that bias self delusion you got yourself in sir.
