Good morning to all my brothers in the hustle, wishing you a blessed day and week ahead.

I'd just like to quickly address an issue here. Let me start by saying we all learn everyday and nobody is above learning and experience. I have noticed that even people in Abuja and other environs make post on this thread which I believe is solely to address issues faced by drivers and/or partners, and other related issues as it pertains to Lagos.

For the purpose of advices, issues, car availability, maintenance, sharing of other significant and viable information as it pertains the FCT, Abuja, please kindly use the link: https://www.nairaland.com/3943147/uber-partner-abuja-please-share

I see the Lagos thread has always been growing exponentially, lets replicate the same at PH, Ibadan, Ogun State and other environs.

God bless you all as you heed and may you prosper in your hustles.

1. Price factor

2. Pick up distance

3. Comfort or car
the last one is the Koko.... Even for the peanut they are paying they are still selecting car especially when the cars are in close proximity..

Nigerian used Kia Rio 2014 ,abort mission, besides Hyundai accent and Kia Rio compressor can't withstand round the clock usage, also the parts are very pricey, ordinary brain box of accent /Rio of 2012 - 2015 models is over 150k market.

By the way opay is bae , seeing transfer in split secs, thank glithtronix for opening my 👀,the difference between opay and Nigerian banks is like comparing 5G to 2g.

Please guys is it advisable to pick 2014 Nigerian used Kia rio on hire purchase for uber / taxify and bolt…
What is the reliability of the car to withstand that long and steady running… will the Kia deliver? Or does it breakdown easily because I don’t want to get disappointed along the line

I am particularly avoiding corolla brand because of the insecurity involved please your candid advice is highly needed urgently.

No doubt, fares on indrive have truly been annoying lately.
Na so so 1k/1.2k./1.5k/2k fares person dey see up and down. And me that hate all those low fare trips before, I stay out later than I used to to hit my target.
Some passengers self still dey reduce the fare prices that even the original amount dey vex person. grin
I go just sit down dey watch their nonsense.
Some of them go use their hands increase the fare price when they see that nobody is picking. Very wicked set of people. grin
I no blame them sha, things have not been the same ever since the naira redesigning stuff all the way up till after election wey come worse pass.
Shey na the post-election effects we go call am abi wetin?
It has really been annoying on indrive.
It only extends the time I spend outside. Cos I don't like going home if I no hit my target.
But we still move sha.
Much respect, boss.

You know why I hate Monday's hustle?
Na this kind of stuff meehnnn.
Though na so e dey be on week days but Monday's own dey get muscle, cos na full force people dey take come out on Monday's because na the beginning of the week and it is believed that Mondays na money day/hustle day, so people come out with full rush from the weekend spent.
This is why I don't hustle on Monday (and I'm sure I'm not the only one).
And this is where bolt app comes to play.
Before I drive out, or park somewhere after a trip, I would check bolt app to see all the angles that have traffic, na that one I dey take judge the kind of orders I pick on indrive.
Once I see where traffic plenty on bolt app, I already know my movements and destinations.
Hope you enjoyed your ride sha?
And hope it "worthed" it? grin
Double respect, boss.

Lolz, I trust my Nigerian people, if the overdraft is upto 10k like bolt own, they will purposely owe that and register with another number to avoid paying the outstanding...

Yesterday, I tried to see the limit of the negative allowance on indrive, it wasn't up to 3k self. I was restricted from taking orders when my negative balance hit about 2k+, can't remember. But it wasn't up to 3k.
I think the only adjustment indrive made was that they stretched it to allow you take order on negative balance, unlike before that once you have even N2 naira negative, you would be restricted from taking orders.
So, those who intended to take advantage of it should know now. grin
Much respect, boss.

I’m interested in the bolt business and I already have a car, a 2010 toyota camry, only problem I have now is getting my DL which is taking too long, please is there any fast document anyone can recommend?

I also just got an accommodation in Lagos, moving from Ibadan, I’m very short on funds and I need to begin as soon as possible.

1 idiot UNILAG boy bn wan run me street! I picked him and his friend(tomboy) yesterday at UNILAG sport centre to Lekki phase 1(4k trip) but we bargained 5k cos they begged me to go to chemist bus stop first, so they could pick something. When I got to their destination, they tried to transfer from access but it didn't go through. The guy begged me to give him my acct that he would do it in the night. Woke up this morning and didn't see any alert. Called him around 7am and he said he's still sleeping. Called him again around 9am and he said he would do it and I asked why he didn't do it at midnight, he said he slept off. Got a trip to chevron, so I called him again on my way and he didn't pick. Later he started rejecting my calls. He later switched it off. When I got to chevron, I called and he rejected it again. In fact, I called almost 5 times(at intervals) and he rejected.
I got a trip to Lekki. Dropped rider and drove to the estate. Apparently, you can't enter without a code, so I explained my situation to the chief security and he opted to help me. Told me to take him to the house. In fact, he said the guys in that apartment are known for such and it would give the estate a bad name. When we got there we spoke to the security and he asked if I have a pix and I showed him his pix on WhatsApp. He went to inform them and the idiot said he's coming. We waited for 30 mins plus, no show. The chief security guy that took me there now asked him(apartment security) who manages the apartment. The guy said Emma. He called the Emma and explained to him and he also said this was the 3rd time it's happening. The Emma said he would call them. After waiting for 45mins, the Emma called back and told the chief security to tell me to call the guy again. I called him on speaker, he picked and disrespectfully said; "oga, check your acct, I don send am, no disturb me again o"
I checked and I saw the alert.

The security of the apartment started asking me for settlement, told him to give me his acct, he said he doesn't have, that I should give him cash. Told him I don't have. He collected my number and said he would call me later. When the chief security entered my car for me to drop him at the gate, I told him to give me his acct. This guy said I shouldn't bother. That how much is the money sef. He said I burnt fuel to come here, so I shouldn't worry. That I shouldn't even give that security guy anything. I Thanked him so well and left. Though I planned on going back to give him something.

The security at the apartment revealed to us that the idiot boy is a yahoo boy in UNILAG. That he pays 120k per day for the apartment and he has been there since Feb 1st. He would be there till month end. He even said when he went to his apartment, that he saw him from the window, he was naked on the bed with 3 naked girls. One on his d1ck, the other on his face, the last was just beside.

I can't remember the estate name, but the name of the street inside the estate is Ganiyu bola Hassan close.

Guys pls beware of that place. You can google to know the name of the estate. They said they've been doing it to drivers. Infact the chief security said the last guy before me forfeited his money and laid curses on them!

POS is 25k (MoniePoint and Palmpay). I think it is now necessary that drivers invest in it and collect few charges on top. Saves the stress

So which cars apart from Corolla do you recommend using for the Uber that will withstand the heat of the job I’m looking for a fairly used Honda civic 2013 because of its after sale value I hope it’s rugged enough for the job and doesn’t develop faults easily hope the parts are affordable too incase

3. Peugeot307. (Manual)
4. Honda city. (Manual)
5. Ford focus. 2004.

Hmmm , driving to mushin at 2.00 am odikwa risky ooo,my sympathy to his friends and family, but he need some serious flogging to reset his brain if he doesn't even live in that axis.even to pass mushin enroute oshodi and ikeja along during daytime sef dey vex me.
I was born between Mushin / Fadeyi (just around the rail way line). And even as someone who was brought up there, I wont take a trip 2am. The streets are crowded with people and cars and at most time u cant even make a turn in any street but use a reverse , with little or no security anywhere except egbon adugbo (if u stay there). It was a really silly decision, i hope he gets his car, heals and learn.

Once had a trip coming from Costain bridge , cos i was at Surulere. Man called and was rushing me to come, 11:45pm. Asked him where he was going to , he kept cutting the call on that. Knowing how dark and quiet that area is to APOGBON and Orile , and how less assured anyone can be of life and property. Omo , Life over profit wey no buy ordinary mirror
