mechango: 550/day is high? For a first timer who no know road, make e go stay for midst of locals? I know it is high, but you dont manage when you are touring a new city first time. Cos it is not your home country, you stay safe Ok. There are areas you get cheap accomodation, why some areas are a bit high like Pretoria where i am currently. If you don sabi ground, then you can come some other time and get something better. Inbetween, the 550 i said was for a studio apartment oo, if you get something cheaper, Goodluck ooo Safety first. My candid advise. 1 Like |

Or maybe you can try classic lodge, kempton park. Not as expensive (like 300 per night or so) but def not as cosy also (I've used both). Why Classic lodge gives you a single room (like an Airbnb service), Airport Inn Isando gives a reception and a room. Both are for short stay though, when you want a longer term accomodation, just rent a room or a flat at either Edenvale or Kempton park. |

KazikageSama: Lest I forget, while you are in Jborg, try out Emperor's Palace (NOT THE HOTEL o, ) I mean the Resort. It's got one of the best cinemas in Jborg, definitely the best casino resort in Jborg, lovely restaurants, toy castles and game houses for kids, artificial atmosphere, fountain etc. You'd love it and it doesn't cost much (if you respect yasef). 1 Like |

Pls house I will like to get a longer term accommodation over there, where is more advisable to stay for a first timer in terms of safety, easy access to public service like metro š and how much should I budget towards that? And in terms of feeding too where can I get food cheaper because I'm looking at long run of things so I need to consider these things Is it through that South Africa is very rough? Are south Africans very friendly and accommodating or hostile towards new comers ? And lastly after that expiration of my 90 days visa can I renewal if I apply? Thanks |

hunee: Good morning chief, please do you know the opportunities for Nigerian nurses in South Africa. Secondly do you know about the process of settling down as a nurse in SA. Iām almost done with my RN program here and Iām considering getting my RM, PHN and BNSC in SA, but before I study Iād have love to work and gather some funds. Thanks in anticipation |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by KazikageSama: 10:36am On Mar 10, 2023 |
haiti007: Based on the August, 2022 adjustment to the SA critical skills gazzette, Nursing is now regarded as a critical skills which you can use to get a 5year work permit and instant PR if you have up to 5years work experience when you get the critical skills visa.

Please gurus in the house. My question is can a company sponsor relocation to South Africa? How is the process like? |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by KazikageSama: 12:27pm On Mar 10, 2023 |
Hannover: Not "sponsor" in the sense of what applies to the UK (COS) and Canadian (Nomination/LMIA) processes. For the South African process, there are a couple of options. Intra Company Transfer Visa - This one allows multinational businesses to transfer employees from an overseas branch to their South African branch for up to 4 years. The visa can be issued for any period of time up to 4 years, but cannot be extended or renewed. Critical Skills Visa - This one doesn't matter whether you handle it yourself or if the company does, as far as you have all the requred documentations from them (esp., the offer letter), being "sponsored by the company" is only a matter of whether they pay for the process or you pay for it. General Work Visa - This one, it is a matter for Matthew 19:24 |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by KazikageSama: 12:29pm On Mar 10, 2023 |
haiti007: The PR is what requires 5years experience, CSV requires 3years minimum. |

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by DUKEOFIBADAN: 9:53pm On Mar 10, 2023 |
mobilemykel: You canāt stay longer than the days stamped on your passport. For now they donāt issue permit anymore, even people who have been there for long most of them are now illegal but being illegal in southy is not a big deal like people use to claim. And lastly no more 24 hours electricity and you can only buy generator to power the house you bought not the one you rent, make sure you carry your power bank with you. Peace āļø |
