I should think you got it wrong, our problem as Nigerian didn't start with the coup. Tafawa Balewa before independent has already started the process of deepening the Quran in side the Atlantic Ocean, major reason why this country won't work. The coup was a means to get things right. When you call it Igbo coup I will always laugh, there is no senior Igbo soldier in that plot. Nzeogwu is from Delta state, you people term them south south but in terms of civil war they are Igbos. Ojukwu was not part of coup, Ironsi was not part of it, Ifeajuna was not part of it. The coup was staged in such a way that northerners will southerners will southerners will kill northerners, northern soldiers were part of the coup, their problem is that they could not kill southern politicians. While in north it was a success in the south it failed only few were killed.
Even before the war there is this hatred towards the Igbos even among the Yurobas. Till this hatred vanishes Nigeria will still be in despair. It is not as if I am boasting the Igbos are light of this country imagine how this country will be without them...
