Who told you transfer is how you buy things cashless. Card payment is cashless payment not phone transfer. Next time use POS machine to transfer the money to the seller.

This and many more is proof that Nigerians deserve to experience this cash confiscation. Most businesses that ought to have POS machine to enable cashless payment don't have it. The government have to confiscate cash to force them. Even now most of them have not gone to get POS machine for their business.

Imagine just the other day I went to a seller of building materials to buy two bags of cement and nails, the shop is filled with all sorts of building materials, even selling wheelbarrows, but the man does not have POS machine. Both of us went to the POS agent next door and I paid the person N200 to transfer the money from my card to man's account.

When I think of the fact that this man has brand new big gen that he puts on whenever there is no light, but till last week doesn't deem it important to acquire a POS machine I can't help but believe that Nigerians deserve to experience this cash confiscation.

Are you in Nigeria at all angry angry e be like say you never experience network problems before while using POS

Nonsense, if something like that happen and you do not change to a different bank for cashless payment, then I don't know what to say to you. Something like that can never happen with fidelity bank.

I had never had such issues before with my bank but there is always a first time............you'd never see it coming.

The situation isn't funny at all and many Nigerians are really suffering due to this policy.

Let me share a very short and sad story with you.

I was at the market yesterday to get some groceries and provisions for the house. I made the payment via transfer because I didn't go with my ATM card. Unfortunately, I was debited immediately but the vendor didn't receive alert on his end.

I came to his shop around 3pm. You wouldn't believe that I waited till 6:30pm thinking that the alert will come in.

Lo and behold, Mr. vendor didn't get the alert.

I hard to return all the stuffs I bought. He collected my phone number and told me that he will call me once he sees the alert so that he can transfer my money back to me.

I was angry but I had to receive sense immediately because it wasn't his fault. He was just trying to play safe too.

I came home angrily and drank semovita with no Sugar.

The policy is just so annoying.

It may sound funny and unbelievable but I prepared it the same way you will prepare Pap.

No, he hasn't but he called me that he has seen the alert.

I haven't gone back to him yet due to my busy schedules of the day.

I guess you did interbank transfer involving two different banks... Next time, if possible, do same bank transfers, that is way faster to drop..

My sincere empathies on this harrowing experience. But why didnt you tell him to check his mobile app and confirm the money from there. Delivery of alerts is subject to network. Sometimes, i don't even see email alerts of a transaction until a few days, not to talk of SMS alert.

This period is basically about "adapt or die off". Before you make any purchase at a store, let the store owner confirm that he receives transfers and has his mobile app to confirm payment. If he doesn't meet these criteria, pleade move on to the next shop. By the time it happens to the store own 3 times, he will adapt and do the needful.

The thing is that the policy is a good one, but Things like this will not work in a zoo country like Nigeria,
Those bank Managers was the first to sabotage the policies.
Our politicians are the second set of people.
And we the masses too.
Can you imagine i wanted to enter bus at oshodi to tollgate the driver said he will not collect transfer and i met a woman selling gala, she said i must buy 500 naira gala add extra 200 before she can give me cash of 1000. So can you now see that we the masses too are the set of people that make the policy difficult.
We always like to take advantage of each other.
The main fact is that there is no love at all in this country.

Transportation is now wahala in city as most danfo bus doesn't give cash.

Is it not better if government can donate BICYCLE at subsidise price. At least it will reduce the stress
