Did you read to comprehend? Where did I advice anyone to come to the states illegally? I have just said what I know about how people survive in the states including undergraduates and gradstudents with no funding. Please, leave me ooo.

You are advising people to do illegal things in an open forum. Visa Officers do visit the thread, you don't think about the consequence? I think you should think deep yourself about what you wrote before telling me I couldn't comprehend what you typed..

So, did I advise anyone? I said what I know about what people do and most of una even the ones that have funding and need extra income.

Yeah. Your eyes is not paining you. It is simply to know more about the school culture, program and what your chances are after school leveraging the school platform. That is why you attend information session, speak to admission recruitment staff to guide you through the process. They will also give you insight on how to achieve a successful application. This is what i did for other schools and awaiting decision.
If you are a current student or alumnus. i will like to know what your experience is like. Thank you.

Oh yeah, it's kind of an interesting thought, although overreaching, to have such a team on standby for every single international student who's looking for reassurance on how they can thrive on campus or outside of it, so excuse the recipient for being short on patience to indulge. If it weren't as daunting a task as that is, indeed, there wouldn't be information classes or open days where they gather students in their numbers to convey the basic details, once and for all. No school I know would admit to having a negative culture or share premonitions on job getting after school. In that regard, I would say you are only just putting your best foot forward now, by seeking answers from anyone, other than their own authority.

Good evening house. Am I the only one experiencing issues with the CGI portal for getting interview dates?
The site has been giving me issues for hours, been unable to check for available dates.

I think the best bet is to send mails to Nigerians in the department or University and ask them these questions. International admission office may not tell you the truth. They most times they you enticing things because they want you to come but Nigerians from your department if possible will tell you the reality.

Hello...
Thanks for your contribution to this thread. Your insights have really been helpful. I have a question and would really appreciate your response.
I have a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and a masters degreee in environmental toxicology. I intend pursuing a phd in the environmental sciences in the Us. However,
I have no publication so I would like to know if I stand any chance of getting a fully funded offer. Please any idea of institutions thats offer fully funded phds in the environmental sciences in the usa.
Regards.

Can you work on the publication part?

Goto your uni where you did masters, and meet your lecturers preferably your project supervisor or any lecturer you have good relationship with

I don't know about yiur school, but my mom is a lecturer, she uses/needs about 4-6 publication for her promotion.

Meet your lecturers and ask them if you can contribute to 2-4 publications.

Good day all,

I am seeking for schools that are still accepting application for fall 2023.

Most schools I've checked have stopped accepting applications.

Can anyone help me with available schools.

Thank you.

Even when you default on 80k loan? Student loans are hard to discharge..if not unforgivable because it’s funded by private lenders

They are indeed hard. But you can also agree STEM jobs are the highest paying in the US.
If one strategically positions oneself in cities like LA but living in a remote town, ain't no "hard to discharge" no more

80k debt b4 landing 1st job is very depressing… and it’s going to put one in a toght selective position to choose btw long and short term benefits.. ie. They’ll be forced to choose btw An employer that pays less but helps intl graduates file for PR AND an employer thats pays more… but doesn't help in filing for PR…

The US is a top destination for Higher studies among international students and they have one of the best educational systems in the world which would give me the opportunity to get quality education for what I'm really passionate about. Also, a degree from the US is world recognized and this will give me an edge and enhance my employability when I come back to Nigeria to work.

Why did you choose your intended school?

I choose University of Louisiana Monroe because i loved how my admissions officer was very responsive and attentive to me through out my admission process. ULM give me the best scholarship offer and getting into their hornors program made me more eager to choose to go there.
