The same way some of you don't understand why INEC spent 300billion naira and claiming it should have used it to improve lives... shallow minds. BVAS machine for the whole polling unit in Nigeria (let's assume 700,000machines X #20,000per device = 14billion) software customization and installation, hosting and updating, 30billion, I.T company staff payment 20billion (currency exchange), logistics (flights, accomodation in both countries, transportation, licenses, taxes etc) for machine and staff from very first day 35billion,now come to naija logistics within naija will be way more expensive because the organization will need to overpay it's staff for transport service to avoid stories that would disturb the credibility of the process. transportation cost in naija alone go reach 50billion, not to forget they were also operating during the fuel crisis and cashless crisis, staff payment (regular) and ad-hoc 80billion or more, housing/logding/feeding 50billion. The pre and post process will cost nothing less than 280billion with miscellaneous and failed/repeated tasks.

In this same way, you know next to nothing about launching satellites, ordinary companies are thousands of satellites which is why you are enjoying their service. Talk of SpaceX alone not even the whole Tesla company (launched around 30,000 satellites and Amazon is planning to do almost the same). We are even talking about the big guys like Google, NASA etc Big Tech companies etc. Now naija wanted to launch 2 satellites, just 2 and there is uproar already that they should use the money for something else, later you will be crying that data is expensive, Nigeria is backward, Security is wack etc...I bet you don't know importance of having satellites

Oga stop blowing grammar, the companies you mentioned are not run by idiots like we have in Nigeria, what is the essence of a satellite when you are still generating less than 5k mega watts that is not enough for 10% of your population. You should atleast crawl b4 running to orbit.

Nigeria is the world's poverty capital, yet you guys are more interested in launching satellites. Please invest Nigeria's scarce money into ventures and projects that will lift people out of poverty.

The next thing we will hear now is that they have parked the satellite. Apparently, Nigeria is the only country in the world where government officials park satellites when it stops working.

I guess you actually wanted to sound woke but bro... I'm dissapointed in this comment, we need Stuffs like this to thrive as a nation and to compete in the global stage. Y'all would still be the ones comparing Nigeria with other countries technological wise. So bro, this is a welcome idea and all we should be praying for is that these satellites don't end up like the previous one that got lost in space.

The first question you should have asked yourself is what happened to the previous satellites. Like NNPC, that agency is just another conduit pipe of the government.

There are things that can never work in this country until it is totally overhauled. The earlier you realize that, the better for you.

The worst launching is the launching of churches in Nigeria that lead to the complete abandonment of science and engineering

So mosques and traditional religion brought about revolution in technology? May be you're a kid to know missionary schools played a pivotal role in development of education in Nigeria. Even if your assertion is true, did profligation of churches also prevent government and it's officials from performing their duties to the citizens? Be a deep and objective thinker!

Did you read the gibberish you wasted time to write at all before posting it?We know you are desperately looking for how to justify the 300billion your boss was given and yet gave Nigeria the worse election in history making the BVAS machine completely useless and defeating the aim and purpose for the BVAS,because as far as Nigerians are concerned this election was as good as manual counting. Rest time go reach wey una go give account well, both to man and God and NOT on Nairaland

Well don't forget majority of the citizen now use manipulated meters, causing significant loss to discos. Cheating the system and still shouting for poor service. That's even by the way. Don't be deceived Nigeria has more than enough electricity to monitor thousands of satellites after launching. The same Nigeria supplies electricity to neighboring countries. More so, you don't expect every single company to depend on one source...common, solar and wind nko, by the time big companies are hit with taxes they will commit hand for the light. Imagine someone running a bakery and stylishly connecting from his room to his bakery or factory, imagine the loss it is causing the system...now because they can't realise their money back it is impossible to give more power supply because it will be more loss. Recently, National Transmission Company complained discos are not collecting generated electricity 🤣 and this is just normal business to minimize loss. We can generate way more, don't be deceived, it just that account has to be balanced
