.This stats make me laugh nor be small. The article should have said Lagos and Abuja are the only states that attracted FDI.
The truth is that with the way Nigeria is set up, it's extremely difficult for states outside Lagos to attract any FDI.

We need to solve our insecurity problem first; and every other thing will fall into place.

With the election violence and demands for Igbos to leave Lagos for example, how does that help FDI in Lagos?

How many foreign investments did FG attract too??!

Can we even count the number of foreign investors who fled this nation in the wake of poor fiscal policies and insecurity?!!

I don’t know if you guy think before commenting.

Lagos has consistently gotten over >60% of the FDI inflow into Nigeria and according to you guys, Tinubu is the alpha and omega in Lagos which implies that the foreign investors would have known his past history before they bring their money to Lagos. If they can trust him in Lagos with their money, why won’t they trust him when he becomes president?

All those Lekki free trade zone, Eko Atlantic, and etc generate huge massive FDI for Lagos and they are the brainchild of Tinubu.

Besides the low budget brewery Obi brought to Anambra, what other foreign investment can he boast of while he was governor?

Sometimes you talk like a fool. Lagos is the epicenter of Nigeria with the only working sea port, a federal capital for 74 years. What do you expect, all most every embassy that has diplomatic relationship with Nigeria has its office at lagos, is tinibu responisble for that? Stop making yourself a fool. Lagos didn't begin from 1999. Lagos has been a cosmpolitian city before tinibu was born.

Ignore those confused clowns!

...Most of them will never be bothered about the failings and backwardness of their actual Southwest states of origin! Defending Lagos is the only achievement they have on earth.

Even the Enugu Brewery was built from the accrued returns from Lagos and Ibadan when Felix Ohiwerei was the MD.South West has always been a bail out.We have saved you again from a monumental failure Peter Gregory Obi, a tax evader who lack foresight than to solicit for vote through division. Hello daddy, thank you daddy
But Peter Obi is the only audited presidential candidate. The only one that presented his tax clearance certificate in which for the past 20 years he has paid not less than 50m as taxes yearly. No other candidate including the president elect could do that, rather avoided town halls not different from the blablablu where he will not be asked question such as this relating to taxes.
Obviously, do don't expect Obi to run a company in UK and pay taxes to Nigeria.

Umahi is far better than Obi 100%

Disregarding political interests and affiliations, some of you sound like morons sometimes.

Much as David Umahi deserves accolades for infrastructural development, same cannot be said about his performance in Human development. Ebonyi people are largely civil servants and self-made business men and women. Even the civil service has witnessed a saddening measure of stagnation through out Umahi's 8years of governance. Promotions have been unpalatably slow. Employments haven't exactly been steady enough to warrant applause. Yet, for reasons owing to sheer political extremism, some of you can wake up and demean Peter Obi's performance while in office.

Obi built infrastructure, improved health care and education, created enabling environments for small and medium scale businesses to thrive, cleaned up the Anambra atmosphere to attract investments that translated into employments for indigenes and laid down policies that formed the foundation for the continuum in the Governance of Anambra that has trickled down to this day.

Even if you no like the man, try get conscience and say the truth as regards his achievements as a Governor, especially at a time when Anambra was a cesspit, a den for criminality and at a point he was dogged with endless challenges to his office by opposition parties and candidates.

Na wah. Where were you before 1999
? Guess a lot of you folks were either born after 1999 or came to Lagos after that date, so it is forgivable if you don't know any better.
The president elect was only governor for 8 years starting from 1999 and you attribute him as the alpha and omega?
Anyway, some mellenials will agree with you.

One Ekiti boy was dissing Anambra the other day,I showed him facts and he went on about how ekiti have more Professors(which has not been proven btw)
If only you guys read the manufacturers address of most of the products you guys use, most of these things are made in Obosi, onitsha, nnewi Anambra State

Anambra attracted more FDI than other SW states put together minus Lagos. Anambra FDI is 12 times greater than Oyo. In 2021, Abia was 3rd Nationwide behind Lagos and Abujy. 2022 Anambra is 4th behind Lagos, Abuja and Akwa Ibom

Only Anambra appear on the list, sw has lagos, oyo, Ekiti and Ondo. You can choke on that.

Anambra vs Lagos

Other southwest states vs Other southeast states

Among the list of states that did not attract anything
We have all the southeast stated apart from Anambra.
Imo, ebonyi, enugu, abia did not achieve a single thing.

We still have Oyo, Ekiti and Ondo that achieved for southwest
You should be ashamed of your region

This ur comment shows how bitter ur hate towards the jagaban of Africa, so u failed to know that he is the best in attracting foreign investors in Nigeria, dey mentioned Lagos as the top and u forgot that jagaban made Lagos and his blue prints is still there. So Imagine if everyone has D spirit of continuation we 4 Don reach Dubai 🙄
SmartPolician:
I really must commend the states that attracted foreign direct investments, despite how Buhari and APC have run down Nigeria's economy. It takes a lot of guts for foreign companies to invest in economy with a steadily depreciating local currency and disposable income.

With the global image of Tinubu as a drug baron, foreign companies will further severe their planned investments in Nigeria. The next administration has to do a lot of work to convince them to bring their money to Nigeria like Olusegun Obasanjo used to do back in the day.
