Sevenworldpower: On the contrary, alliance formations are precursor to war. Same events that led to WW1 and WW2 -- economic and military alliances-- are repeating themselves now. Some nations are now even considering switching to military economy; that should give you a grim picture of what is brewing right now. It doesn't matter who is captain or not. Any major war that breaks out now would mean the end of the 21st century as we know it. Life would be reeled back to the 11th century. We better pray it shouldn't happen in our time. |

If they cannot learn from the mere fact that a country that has more than 10,000 sanctions slapped on it is doing well, and even better than some of the nations that slapped sanctions on it, then there is no need trying to educate them about what would happen when push comes to shoves. Just let them thrive in their ignorance. 4 Likes |

FoolishBoy419: US just got permission to build military bases in phillippines. They don't need to invade China, too costly, they need to just restrict Their sphere of influence or ability to project power outside their border. China doesn't want war with the US. China don't have the kind of allies US have, non the economic power or military power. Russia, China's strongest Ally have enough problems on their hands, Russia need to contend with the war, and the after series effect of the war, with the sanctions not ending soon. China would need like 50+ years to catch up with the US military and sphere of influence, that is if US decide to stay the way they are and not make any innovations. |

seunny4lif: I would understand this sentiments if you said they before the war in Ukraine. And the US didn't take permission from Russia to enter Kyiv, the US notified the Russians, more like a warning, our president is in the country be careful. if Russians are as tough theu should have attacked Kyiv with drones or missiles. All the military victories Russia had in the past was as a result of the collective west reluctance to engage Russia, all were against by far smaller and weaker nations. Now that they decided otherwise, Ukraine the poorest nation in Europe, how is the war going? Russia attacked a spy drone with no attack capabilities and you're making a mountain out of it, if were fighter jets, you think Russia would attack?LOL When Russia pulled out of the grain deal, it was Turkey that escorted the ships with grains with battle ships. of what use is the black sea to the US? the US focus is Taiwan, Their ships are stationed close to there. You said they banned war ships from visiting mauripol, how many war ships were visiting their before the annexation? In a war between the US and Russia we know the war won't take place in the US. You think 800 bases is a joke? LOL. rest. Whatever Russia can do to the US, the US can do x 20 1 Like |

Tiopii: Firstly, let's get something clear here: we are talking about America's chances of invading and beating China in war (be it conventional or nuclear) and the answer is that they simple don't stand a chance. The US currently has more powerful and rich allies than China but these things are changing rapidly. Several countries in Africa and the Middle East are shying away from the US. I believe Saudi Arabia will close down its US base in a few years to come. China is clearly not desperate to project its military power. The BRI, the peace it is brokering in the Middle East and the economic deals it is signing around the world stands to benefit them far more in the long run than the nonsense USA is doing all around the world (and creating mortal enemies for itself). Lastly, I think you are making the exact mistake that American leaders made in the past: underestimating China. Every single influence the US has is currently on a rapid decline. It is losing allies everyday, countries are making moves to ditch its currency, its banking sector is on a timed bomb, it is losing or has lost its manufacturing sector to Asia, and so on. In fact, their country is more divided than ever while more and more problems like mass shootings are taking down the country everyday. Even diehard Americans are worried about where the US is headed considering the money being printed daily and the piling debts on it. I have strong confidence in China. When America banned them from using the international space station, they went and built theirs alone and even invited other countries. When Trump banned sale of chips to them, many were predicting that it would take a decade before they can start making their own chips but here we are today. China produces 3-4x more STEM graduates that USA yearly while US citixens are more interested about gender pronouns. I'd say China will overtakebthem in the next 10 years. 4 Likes |

FoolishBoy419: While a war between the US and China is very unlikely at it lowest chances, in a direct confrontation between both, The US would be the less battered side, not saying it would be easy or anything LOL China isn't trying to project power? LOL after militarizing the South China sea and claiming it as it's territory against the wishes of some other countries in the region. While you have some good reasons, most of the reasons you mentioned would be addressed with some good policies, might be bad not hopeless. The dollar thing, it's between countries, if you want to deal with the US you still deal with them in dollar, even if dollars loses values, it'd still be most commonly used. While domination of dollar might end no currency would ever get the same privilege, Euro or pounds becomes the next best thing not Yuan bro. Yuan might get much relevance in Asia, but not in the World. Peace would also be brokered bro, Man is always in a state of war, weapons would always sell, either to defend or attack. The US unless defeated militarily, would always be relevant, China can't afford war with the US for at least the next 50+ years that is if the US decided to remain the same. It's easy to mention US problems na, mention any Chinese problem, you would think they don't have. alot could go wrong for them before it does for the US. even China get economical problem, US go manage their debt, most them dey owe themselves and maybe Europe. Every nation get peculiar problem. US the diseased and China the strong and healthy abeg. x4 stem graduates, you don't understand the difference in their population, if they have the same rate who go employ them? Those plants in China and Asia they have started the transfer back to the US, check bills Biden been signing recently even China are complaining. China need the US & Europe market more than the vice versal. if you realize more of China's internal problems you'd be more worried for China than the US |
