So OBi team petitioned that BAT was not qualified to run, BAT team is saying that Obi is not even qualified to petition. I do however see the point about PDP though. The election was rigged and votes assigned to the first position but the votes could have easily gone to the person that came second. You have to prove that the votes that were stolen were actually meant for you.

Many of you are legally illiterate. If you know the law, you will see that their counter argument is very strong and compelling. How can Obi contest election when he was not a member of LP? How can Obi claim irregularities without giving evidence on polling unit basis? Answer those questions based on the law.

You that is a legal luminary, you don't seem have an in-depth idea on how one becomes a member of a party.
As the case unfolds detailed evidences (including certified forensic analysis) will be tender at the court so hold your breath is gonna be a bumper ride.
However what APC put up is so fragile, the couldn't find any fraudulent case against PO unlike the other way round were substance( White for that matter) was identified.

Professor of law, how can Shetimah contest with two nominations?

It is not against the law. He contested as senator and vp in same constituency. He did not change his constituency.

In a nutshell, APC forced Obi back to PDP where he belongs.

So he doesn't have any capacity to challenge them from Labor party. Labor part votes wasted!

I love this drama..

On what Technical ground was Machina kicked to the side against Lawan?
Lmao.

We have evidence that shows Obi resigned on 20th May 2022 from PDP. As at that time he was not an LP member, and he contested for presidency of LP. This is a nullity in law.

A primary school kid should know that it is impossible to conclude an election petition case in three months let alone in a month and half.

Tinubu is my president for the next 4 years at the minimum.

If we don't know a thing, it is better we just stay silent on it or go find out the facts.

I hope the attached will educate many of you who thought is by what we think.
No, it is as it is written in Electoral Act 2022.
in this screenshot what it stated here is that:

1. Tribunal- 180 days
2. Appeal Court- 60 days .

But in the presidential election tribunal, it takes 180 days too and nothing of Approaching Appeal court of justice. The next court after the tribunal is Supreme Court of justice and it takes 30 days(both hearing and judgement takes place in this 30 days).

You know the Law!

Well said!

The preliminary objections are quite punchy - sammarily:
1. Peter Obi does not have locus to contest the election and bring the petition at all;

2. failure to add Atiku/PDP to the petition is a huge miss, as PO can’t be declared winner if at all he is successful without first discountenancing Atiku’s votes;

3. no pleadings on polling units disruptions individually; and

4. PO’s petition is fraught with pre-election matters - and the Tribunal itself does not have jurisdiction to hear the matter.

Law is interesting! Let’s see how this place out and watch out for the Defence & potential cross petition.

There is no need summarising it. The obi supporters are too blinded. They know nothing about the law or tribunal.
To me obi has no case as all his plea are fought with pre_ election matter which the tribunal has no jurisdiction to hear.

Let's wait for the fireworks to commence.

They can't unseat Tinubu
Never

I keep hearing Kenya. Kenya has issues to.

The last election in Kenya was marred by allegations of fraud, and three out of the seven electoral commissioners disclaimed the results...and there was some tension. Took a ruling by the courts to allow the winner claim his mandate.

Lol.
The presidential election annulled by Kenya's Supreme Court judges was less fraudulent, caused less local and international
furore, than the last presidential election in Nigeria.
But Kenya is not cursed by the sort of ethno-religious bigotry that some Nigerian groups are accursed on.

Owing to the ethno-religious composition of Nigeria and the country's political structure, Nigeria's political class since 1999 had been rotating its presidential seat among its Southern and Northern regions; Nigeria has been rotating its presidential seat between Muslims and Christians. But come 2023, religious and ethnic bigots chose to upset the rotation thing. Tinubu says it's his turn, but look clearly, old and mentally handicapped Tinubu is not representing the interest of the south.
When a country is set on autodestruct mode, it manifests on all directions.

Bat should challenge the petition Obi laid against him not looking for rubbish that won't fly. The 21 day period has elaps a long time ago. BAt should counter Obis drugcase petition he laid against him not some rubbish that won't fly.

He has challenged that.
It is a pre-election that this is not the job of Tribunal.
Actually, Obi will have to go to an High court to file the drug's case as a separate case (not as an electoral case).

I assume we are not arguing on this matter. If it is an argument from your end, quote the section of the act and screenshot it.

In Summary, matters relating to the last presidential election must be fully disposed in 8 months (Tribunal and Supreme).

Sensible persons do not support an old and obviously mentally handicapped Tinubu who was involved in drug trafficking offences and certificates forgery to win a case to become president of a country, in a court of learned judges, and through a most deceptive, fraudulent and backward election process where the election umpire contravened the Electoral Act.

See nonsense APC and Tinubu filed against Obi, I pity them

My brother, Obi's petition is so watery that it will be easy for a baby lawyer to knock it out on technical grounds. Just look at APC defense, it has knocked out everything already and this is just phase 1

His participation in the process is flawed.

Oga that Obi petitioned ApC before the petition closing window of 21 days elapse, they couldn't file a counter petition on or before the day Obi submitted his petition, why did you think Obi waited the last minute to file his own. Bat should file a counter petition to what OBi filed not looking for rubbish that won't fly.

Fish brain. It’s okay for Obi to file the last day but wearing for Tinubu to do same.

Why is it “impossible” when Kenya concluded its own in a month?
The period set out in the law is the MAXIMUM period, not the minimum…
Thus, if the tribunal and Supreme Court choose to complete the process within 45 days, they can.

But IRONICALLY is an effective response to those who ask why the LP didn’t raise its case against Tinubu’s eligibility before the elections.

May the best lawyers win for their parties. Election Tribunals are part of the Democratic process,I believe everyone will have an opportunity to prove their case before the Honourable Judges.
This year's Presidential tribunal judges will really have their hands full.
2 parties are arguing they won the election, meaning after Labour and PDP are able to prove APC lost the election, they still have to prove their opponent didn't win.
Another 2 parties want the Tribunal to cancel the presidential Election because the electoral body didn't comply with its guidelines.
So if PDP and Labour prove ApC didn't win the election, and also argue they are the winner, the other 2 parties can pour sand into their garri by showing proof the Election didn't comply and therefore have the Election cancelled.
grin grin grin grin...........
This is really confusion breaking the bones of the Honourable Judges on the Election Tribunal.
Na wa for Nigeria political parties........
God bless Nigeria

The aggrieved parties are after a goal, despite several allegations, and that is nullification of that election. That's all it takes frustrate APC. Reset everything to default and let's begin over again with the right permutations in checks.., of course without Yakubu,

Lol 😂 see how APC scattered the case of Peter Obi and I love how they requested the court to tell him to pay for wasting the court time.

They should tell the court to ask him to pay like 5billion so the crying stingy man can cry another round of tears on TV.

Let me wait patiently for their response to Atiku petition.
