I may not be a lawyer by profession; perhaps, not so vast in constitutional law, but I can say this with common sense- that a voter in Zuba or Maitama is not bigger or valuable than a voter or vote cast in Afon, ASA LGA of Kwara State. Neither is any vote cast in any part of the country more valuable than the other.

So to say that every other vote cast in other parts of the country is sub-national or inferior to that of the FCT makes the argument vague and to me, perhaps the constitution, invalid.

The constitution sees every vote or voter as the same. This is without prejudice !

I stand to be corrected though!

You're correct.

Section 299(1) of the Constitution provides that the provisions of the Constitution shall apply to the Federal Capital Territory as if it were one of the states of the Federation. It means that the FCT is the 37th state.

So section 134 of the Constitution which provides that “not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in EACH of at least two-thirds of ALL THE STATES AND the FCT” means 25 states or 24 states plus the FCT. Winning the FCT by a candidate is not compulsory.

But did he win the FCT or not where all race in Nigeria reside? Tinubu got the little vote he got through thuggery and criminality. You can take that to the bank

Abuja voters are not Angels their own votes are not superior to the votes of other Nigerians

It is so obvious that if Peter Obi had his way he would impose the Osu Caste System on all Nigerians

With Abuja resident Obidients being the Master Race

The votes of Abuja Obidients alone would be more than equivalent to the total votes of all other Nigerians

He did yet he couldn't win the Lagos he governed for 8 years, couldn't win Abuja, and couldn't even win his home state (Osun state).

What do you guys take/inhale to ignorantly make this assumptions? 🤨

Obj in 1999 dnt win any LGA even i doubt if he won polling unit in whole SW state and he won the presidential election.

INEC DONT DICTATE TO THE JUDICIARY.

JUDICIARY DONT TAKE INSTRUCTION FROM INEC AND ARE NOT THEIR TO BE INFORMED BY INEC.

THE JUDICIARY IS THEIR TO HOLD INEC TO ACCOUNT FOR NON-DELIVERY OF A CREDIBLE ELECTION AS PROMISED.

Or you and those you refer to as "we" can cease being part of Nigeria.

The last time I checked, BAT was voted for by NW, NE, NC, SW and even a good part of SS.

He didn't need the votes of the other zone.
