INEC affirmed that having scored at least one-quarter of the valid votes cast in 29 states, which is over and above the 24 states threshold required by the constitution in addition to scoring the highest number of the lawful votes cast at the election, Tinubu was properly declared winner and returned as the President-elect.

Modify: if 24 States is the threshold of 36 states as stated by inec above. That implies that you must have 25% in the fct. Saying FCT is treated as states it wound have been stated clearly that 25 states is the threshold of the 36 states and Fct. Only court can decide.

We'll wait for the court to decide!

He did yet he couldn't win the Lagos he governed for 8 years, couldn't win Abuja, and couldn't even win his home state (Osun state).

What do you guys take/inhale to ignorantly make this assumptions? 🤨

If he won Lagos you people will be crying of rigging.

Osun is for APC and PDP if you open your eye well you will see the vote margin or do you see LP gotten 20k vote?

Abuja isn't a State and since LP strategy is to win Lagos and Abuja is their main target then other parties gave them the states they're obsessed to won.

APC won free and fair and if they conduct the election again LP will still come very long distance third.

Everyone already knows

Including those who scored an impossible 97% of the votes in their State yet accused others of rigging

Even Dictator Saddam Hussein of Iraq pegged his rigged election wins at 95%
So, APC and PDP have no agents in that state to record even a single act of rigging by LP?

Tinubu won everywhere and couldn't win his state and and the Federal. Meaning, if all the states had the kind of security federal has, Tinubu will not get one vote.

INEC DONT DICTATE TO THE JUDICIARY.

JUDICIARY DONT TAKE INSTRUCTION FROM INEC AND ARE NOT THEIR TO BE INFORMED BY INEC.

THE JUDICIARY IS THEIR TO HOLD INEC TO ACCOUNT FOR NON-DELIVERY OF A CREDIBLE ELECTION AS PROMISED.

You forget, Even the Judiciary is bound to work dependently on evidences and materials brought before the court in accordance with the provision of the law.

As long as Inec did the right thing Judiciary can't do nada other than to uphold Inec decision.

*I have never seen where the winner in a competition attacks the third runner-up instead of attacking the second runner-up who nearly snatched the medal from him.*

But in the case of APC, PDP and LP, the party that mysteriously won the election is not castigating the second runner-up which is PDP. Their attention is focused on LP which INEC said came third in the election. If you are not a Nigerian, you did think only APC and LP contested the election. All the pre-election and post-election APC propaganda machineries just focused on Peter Obi of LP.

For your information, non of the APC propagandists has said anything concerning the allegations PDP are leveling against APC in the law court. Infact, APC doesn't even bother on PDP's lawsuit against them. But since Peter Obi of LP submitted his case in court against Tinubu, APC and INEC, heaven and earth has lost their calmness. Every now and then, it is Peter Obi did this and Peter Obi did that. APC has lost sleep over night.

They have digged files upon files in Anambra state government house to see if there is anything they could use to nail him, but their efforts didn't paid off as the man's 8yr tenure is near perfect.

Today, they have paid Yahoo boys as Tinubu promised he will do during his campaign in Edo state where he promised to turn the Yahoo boys into software engineers, unfortunately, their first assignment is to to manipulate Peter Obi and David Oyedepo's phone call which was badly doctored and easily detectable. As that one is not enough, they are now alleging that Peter Obi and Datti Baba Ahmed are commiting treason. And I dare to ask, which treason for God's sake? Can someone who has knowledge of what treason is all about explain to us how Datti Baba Ahmed and Peter Obi is commiting treason?

Datti came on National TV and said that when you swear in a president who failed to satisfy the constitutional requirements stipulated by the law, then you have breached the constitution. To my own understanding, Datti Baba Ahmed simply quoted the Nigerian constitution to the best of his knowledge.

Getting 25% of the total votes cast in FCT before one could be qualified to be sworn in as the Nigeria president doesn't need any interpretation from lawyers and judges. The law is self explanatory. He meant that any chief judge who went ahead to swear in a presidential candidate who did not meet the constitution requirements of securing 25% of the total votes cast in FCT is the one trying to truncate our democracy and that act only is TREASONABLE FELONY. To me, Datti Baba Ahmed simply came on National TV to remind all and sundry about what the law said.

If Peter Obi did not win the election, why are they pressuring him to leave the country? Why are they blackmailing him? Why are they using TREASON to garg him and his running mate?

*To steal a mandate is not the problem. The problem is keeping the stolen mandate without incurring the wrath of the public.*

Copied
because APC swapped LPs votes for theirs!

dat is was majorly played out.

leceister city lost home away to arsenal the year they won EPL... So they should have denied them the crown after scoring the highest point?? It not about winning states but getting highest votes and getting 25 percent in two thirds of states plus Abuja... Tinubu got 25 percent in 30 States score the highest..

It's over

Section 299(1) of the Constitution provides that the provisions of the Constitution shall apply to the Federal Capital Territory as if it were one of the states of the Federation. It means that the FCT is the 37th state.

So section 134 of the Constitution which provides that “not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in EACH of at least two-thirds of ALL THE STATES AND the FCT” means 25 states or 24 states plus the FCT. Winning the FCT by a candidate is not compulsory.

English isn't hard to understand. Why una dey f<ck up? grin

Then since FCT has the same status with states, they should just say 37 states and not mentioning FCT alone with other states.

You see that 1999 constitution is a scam. They write two sections with opposite meaning such that any section they fall on, they uphold it.

You're the one blind to reality here and being guided by delusional thinking

So because he lost Lagos, FCT and his hometown that automatically means he lost? Or he's incompetent or incapable of winning?
Where do you draw your logic from?
Is it a necessary criteria that you must win your hometown and previous governed state?
So what exactly is your point?

But did he win the FCT or not where all race in Nigeria reside? Tinubu got the little vote he got through thuggery and criminality. You can take that to the bank

How you guys reason this way says so much about you guys.
So if someone wins 36 states and didn't win FCT he won't be declared the winner?
The constitution says all votes of every Nigeria is equal, so do people living in Abuja are more Nigerians that those living in Bayelsa, Kano, Anambra and Ekiti state?
Accept your losses and pls move on.

Why are you capitalizing on those 3 states? How popular is obi in the far north...we have north central, north east and north west....how popular is he? If you look at the those behind obi, they are majorly from the south east. Have you seen any northerners claiming his mandate was stolen? Check now, haba .obi cannot win election with just south east votes alone

Idiot, since your forefathers lack wisdom, that is called politic , since you have cockroach brain, if Obi won 12 states (FCT) , Tinubu 12 and Atiku 12, If Obi focused on states with high population of voters he would have won, but he put all his lazy ass on Southeast that they don't have electoral value when it comes to votes gathering in Nigeria election, even Atiku that does not do more than 10 states of campaign came second just because they focused on more voters apathy states not confused SE

Is only those who are politically naive that will say Obi won this election, the God that save them is Buhari is not the one on the ballot ,the margin would have been very mad like , with this their divided house. Because all those places Atuku won in the north would have been covincely won by Buhari
This is just a logic thinking.
Atiku has vote in the north but nothing to augment it in the south, the places PDP use to win customarily, was won by OBI and Obi Has a Substantial vote in the south but nothing to augment it in the North.Know this and know peace, if this election is to be conducted 20times with the formation PDP,Kwankwanso and LP used ,Tinubu will always win
