So, you've booked your date?
Yes. I booked a date in September, after trying to get any date that falls before my school's resumption without success. I have decided I will request for an emergency appointment within 60 days to the resumption.

Can you book emergency appointment for Fall program start date now?
No. But I was just checking and trying to understand it. It has to be within 60 days to the school's resumption.

Oh, okay. I'll do this.
What was your initial not-favourable date, and the favourable date you ended up picking wasn't via emergency approval yeah?

Sisib15:
Keep searching for date. This is my trick, I picked a not favorable date, then I used the cancel option to check for date without canceling my old date. So when a favorable date comes, I was able to know very quickly. What this trick does is that you can refresh the website for 3 hrs straight without logging out but once the website logs you, do not trt to login again for that day unless your account will be frozen for three days

This is interesting. I have be doing this for 2 weeks now and the only dates I have been seeing are in September, October and, November. Does it actually work? That is after picking a date, one can still be able to see earlier dates when available, cancel previous appointment and book an early appointment date? Will it affect the visa fee which has already been paid?

Currently, 11th October 2023. I've been checking for an earlier date to pick, but haven't found so far.
I plan on opting for emergency approval when it's 2months prior to my resumption date (19th August).
Wow, is it true they free up closer dates sometimes?

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Sisib15: 1:00pm On Apr 12, 2023
You are not going to cancel your appointment, the thing is you keep clicking on the cancel option so you can see a new date. When you see a favorable date you then use the reschedule button to schedule the date. You don't have to pay for a new MRV. You can only reschedule four times. Assuming you have August 15 as you appointment date, and you see may dates. You can reschedule but if the dates you are seeing are closer to the one you have don't reschedule so that you won't waste your mrv

I started my date search in February, I couldn't a closer date Until Mid March. The First date I got was September 18,then I kept hunting for it until I got April 4th and the reason I was able to get that date was because the Abuja Embassy released massive slots
