If FCT is like other states, how come they have the minister of FCT and not a governor. Each State has 3 senators from the senatorial zones while Abuja is Abuja having just one(1)

The clarity came from a Supreme Court ruling in a case involving Muhammadu Buhari of the then All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and Olusegun Obasanjo of the then Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday, July 15, 2005.



In its ruling, the apex court had upheld that presidential candidates must win 25 per cent of all votes cast in 24 states, and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Abuja is treated like other states, all votes are equal under our law, the grammar is confusing obidients, but it's quite clear. Two thirds of all states, and Abuja...if the law wanted to state Abuja was special, the law will categorically state it, that's how laws are written.

Let me help Mr Prof with this simple example;

If the demand to read Medicine in school says that you must have credit in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Mathematica, Prof is demanding it should read, credit in Physics, credit in Chemistry, credit in Biology, credit in English and credit in Mathematica.

Where any matter arises that puts the various territories in any form of conflict, the resolution should be made in such a manner as would put the territories on an equal footing in respect to each other, regardless of their differing natures. This needs no long debate. It is intuitive.

1999 constitution is an offshoot of 1979 constitution...In the 1979 constitution when Lagos was FCT, Lagos voters were not given any privilege.The votes were the same as votes casted in other states.
