Immediately Mengi got his first senior contract in 2021 he started derailing. Whether it was due to his niggling injuries or whether he just lost focus it is hard to say.

His premier league 2 performances when he was 17/18 are far better than his premier league 2 performances at 20.

McTominay is also injured. i don't know where his own injury came from. he's not played that much like others so far.
I have been surprised by Varane so far. he's been very available this season, far more than I expected.
