Hello my people
You guys are the real MVP

I have been a silent follower of this thread but I need a clarity on some grey area as I am planning against January 2024 for my MSc

1. Its about POF, I work in a financial institution, the net pay is not dt much though but I have a side hustle that pays me like x4 of my salary, but due to the nature of my job I run this business through my brother's personal account which he doesn't have access to, I only have access to the account.

How do I do my POF? I'm married with 3 children, I live in my own house, (not planning to go with them for now)

1. Can I use my brother as a sponsor from his personal account statement or I should register the business and open account with the business name and start running the account instead of the personal account? since my plan is against next year?

2. If I register the business can we both be director? but I don't want to be a signatory to the business account.

3. What document will I need to submit for POF?

4. Do I need to submit my house documents as well?

5. Which University/college in Canada accept installments payment?

I'm seeking all these info to be able to get it right the first time.

Thanks in advance

Note that as self sponsored it’s best to show u have 70-100% of ur total funds. But anything is possible sha.
2. A survey plan is not a valid land document. C of O, gift Deed, Deed of conveyance, purchase receipts are valid land documents

1. Depend on how much d money in question is nd how long ur program will be for. The best option that will not complicate tins for u is, let ur bro do a gift Deed for u nd send d money to ur acct, then u can maybe support it with that ur brother’s SOA to mk ur case stronger.
2. Like I said earlier, going to register d company now nd all will be a longer route plus it might look suspicious tendering d documents of a company registered a few months to ur application. So I won’t advice u go through that route.
3. Ur SOA, pay slips, gift Deed, ur brother’s SOA (not compulsory tho), employment letter/ID card. Note u have to establish a very strong proof of relationship nd previous commitment wit ur brother. So birth certificate, family pictures nd evidence of previous financial supports will be required.
4. Yes for home ties alongside ur family
5. U will have to do your research on dis bcuz there are a lot of factors to consider such as program, institution, duration, tuition fees, course nd province of ur choice nd financial capability.

Hello,

What is the ideal period for landing in Canada before school begins. i.e. School starts September 5, can I land in late June?

Can anyone point me to what the experience is like at the port of entry? i.e. what questions do they typically ask at Immigration.

Thanks,

Thanks for the info. Problem no dey finish lol. Please can someone give me the best advise, I currently have available balance of 7m in my acct and that is the balance I have been maintaining since January till date, but the cash flow is about 13m between February and April so far. I understand I have to explain every lump sum deposited sure, but now I’m expecting 7m to be deposited into my acct from a property I’m about to sell some times next week or so, and my school resumption date is July 31th, do u think it will make any sense if I print my bank statement after a week of the 7m deposits and submit my application ? Or I do need to wait for months and defer my admission. And I have open balance of 7kcad to pay to the school as I have paid some deposit. My main concern is, how long do u think I should submit my application after the expected 7m has been credited to my acct. I’m thinking maybe I should go ahead and submit the application after a week the money is been deposited and I will back it up with all evidence of sales of the property in my SOP, just my thought though. I will appreciate best advise, thank you all gurus and enjoy ur Sunday.

You already said it all, but alternatively you can also choose to bring the money in inform of a gift deed. The money gets to your family members acct first then it’s sent back to your account as a gift deed.

Additionally, the 7M can be deposited and then you print the bank statement the following month so the 7M can reflect in the opening balance. I don’t think there is any best time to print bank statement, the most important thing to be able to explain every lumps sum and also have the expected POF available.

My opinion tho. You can still wait for other’s response

Good morning everyone, I’m new here,
I’m a Nigerian, I’m 31, I just graduated with a 3rd class grade, studied entrepreneurial and business management, I am a fashion designer, I own a registered fashion designing business.
I’d love to apply for a study visa to Canada. I was scammed over #4M, 2years for this journey to Canada, though I’m yet to recover from it because it drove me to depression, that was all my life savings then, but I’m grateful to the Almighty that I feel better than I used to
I need your advice, during my years in National Open University, I had a break from school for some years before I final completed this year and collected my certificate this week

(1) can I apply for student visa with a grade as low as 3rd class
Will I be granted admission and visa
(2) can i apply for a student visa at 31years

Use applyboard, they will show you the programs you are eligible for with your grades

Hello NLanders,

Significant Landing Gist ( Be Careful with your documents and luggage at the Airport)

To God be the Glory! I landed Toronto Pearson Int'l Airport 2 days ago and and have received my Study Permit at the immigration office in the YYZ airport. The devil tried to stop me but God granted me grace and favor and I scaled through. I flew Ethiopian Airlines which was scheduled to fly from Lagos to Toronton (Canada) via Addis Ababa in Ethiopia - Dublin (Ireland) - Toronto. Due to rush, some of my documents which I was reviewing on my laps in the airplane slipped from my hand and fell on the floor of the airplane- under the seat, and I didnt know. These were reciepts of my sch fees, Letter of Intro from IRCC and LOA etc. I only discovered when we were boarding the connecting flight to Dublin...I was reviewing my next ticket for transfer flight. We had only 30 mins to start boarding the connecting flight to Dublin. I reported to Bole - Ethipian Airport officials)...they told me to wait that they will fetch it but it will take some time. At this time, I had only 15 mins left to Board. There was also a lady who forgot her laptop in the plane. When i told her about my own problem...she quickly said its a small matter. (she was going to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe). She said, if I have those docs in my phone...I could show the Canadian Immigration the docs in my phone. Immediately, I brought out my laptop from my hand luggage (Thank God its in my hand luggage not checked in box), transferred all relevant docs from my system to my phone via whatsapp sharing app. I ran and join the queue for boarding. I continue praying for favor to have the soft copies accepted at Toronton by immigration. To the Glory of God, the officer that interviewed me agreed look at the documents which I had already packaged in a folder on my phone. Thank God for technology. The young man was greatly satisfied with the documents and all the questions he asked based on what I submitted during my application in Nigeria. You know there was no physical interview in Nigeria...Just online submission and approval (in principle) pending arrival for physical interview at any Canadian Boarder. My interview lasted just 15 mins but the man touched almost everything in my IRCC Portal. There was a crowd of about 50 persons waiting behind me on queue, as they do in USA embassy in Lagos, but the difference is that Canadian are more humane, kind and patient to hear you out. Our God is wonderful. Lessons: If you are coming through YYZ (Pearson International Airport, Toronto), be sure to have your:
1. Letter of Introduction
2. Updated Letter of Acceptance.
3. Evidence of School Fees Payment OR Proof of Fund for Tuition (They are more interested in Tuition Payment)
4. Ensure to understand your own form and all the information therein. They will recall your IRCC Portal with your UCI number and pick questions at random.
5. Be sure you follow your agent strictly and closely (for those who use agents) and make sure all information are correct. Any discrepant answer will warrant you to be sent back to Nigeria. Right in my presence, someone from Africa (I dont know which country but I suspect Nigeria) was sent back due to fake documents. Please lets be careful. May God help us all!
Good day. And congratulations once again.
Pls I wouldn't know if you would he kind enough to guide me on how to go about applying. I have seen a course I want to study at Conestoga. But I don't even know where to start. I just need a guide ... Thanks
