There is only transition.

MATTER CANNOT BE DESTROYED.

Your consciousness is not physical, and so does not depend on a physical body to exist. It just uses a physical body as a host, to help it manifest on this dense, physical plane.

Once the physical body expires (what we call 'death') your consciousness returns to where it came. OUR TRUE HOME.

It might even hang around in this dimension for a while, especially if it is really displeased to be leaving. Those are what we call 'ghosts'.

But most souls are happy to just move on back to our real home, which we call the 'spirit world' or 'heaven'.

I have read the research and it is quite comforting to know what happens in NDE.
I would rather work on perfecting my soul since I know my way home already.

Once your body expires (what we call 'death') you will find YOURSELF outside of your body, but still very much ALIVE and AWARE.

In fact, your awareness and intelligence shoots up by several notches.

By ''YOURSELF'' I mean the YOU that is reading these words right now.

Your consciousness.

It does NOT 'die'.

You will find that you still have a body, but it's not physical. It's made of LIGHT. You are able to reconfigure it to just be a small ball of light, just by thinking 'I don't need this body'.

You can hover above your dead physical body and be looking at it even as people are crying that you're 'dead'.

Some souls remain on this plane to observe their funeral. Some - particularly if they died young or unexpectedly, choose to hang around this plane for a bit longer, before deciding to shoot off into 'heaven'.

Some just go up straight away with no hanging around. You have the FREE WILL to decide as a soul, when you're ready to leave etc.

Heaven - the home of billons of souls, is said to be indescribably beautiful and loving, with no lack of anything.

You think of someone, and he appears before you. No need to travel or place a call.

You communicate by telepathy. No need to talk.

If you like luxury, you can imagine a luxury mansion of any size, and it materialises before you.

There are COLOURS there that are unknown on Earth, and TIME doesn't really exist as we know it, over there.

There is no 'past' or 'future' there.

Everything there is in the 'Eternal Now'.

It's hard to explain until you reach there.

I've been trying to drop the below comment in the above thread but Nairaland system is preventing me that's why i dropped it here.

There are lots of confusion about religion that we need unravel.
First of all Jesus never asked anyone to worship him rather he himself worshiped the God of his ancestors and told his friends that the God of his ancestors is the one and only true God who sent him:

"This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ" John 17:3

He referred to the God of his ancestors as his own God who is also the God his friends should worship:

Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.’” John 20:17

So Jesus never asked anyone to worship him the question we all need to figure out is:
Since all the tribes of the earth believe in the worship of deities, what is the purpose of religion or worship?
