I watched the movie nah, Jordan and his team made mad money by cunning people into buying bad stocks, especially dead penny stocks. It has nothing to do with volatility.

Those people in the movie were not even doing any TA or FA, just be buying stocks based on recommendations from the wrong people.

To make money in the market you need to do due diligence, whether TA, FA or with luck charms.

Well they feed on greedy investors.

We can't overemphasize the role of good debt in multiply our wealth and diversification.

Imagine the case of a trader with a portfolio of about N15 million, which he pledged as collateral for a loan of N10 million at 24%.

He used the loan to import goods that will be in high demand in December. If he got the loan in June to import the goods and was able to sell by December to make N14 million.

He would only have to pay back N11.2 million back to the finance house or bank pocketing about N2.8 million as profit, yet his portfolio might generate another dividend income of about N1.5 million.

He did not have to sell his investments in order to raise funds for his business, this scenario is only possible for someone who has the knowledge and professional pedigree of the business ooo. If not just use the little funds you have be it 500k or N1 million

Like Pa Emma said he's correct. In addition, you get a very good service. The services have improved much after they spin off the mutual fund business. You will also have access to their research though you will still be required to do your due diligence.

I will personally be available to attend to you.
Please let me know when you are ready to open account so that you can use my code.

Meanwhile, my landlord this hot afternoon gave every tenant notice/letter of upward review of rent by as much as 23.5% in these hard times.
Abuja Landlords go hardly make heaven.

Using the Elliott wave theory, I am seeing that we are riding the 5th/last wave which is usually explosive and shorter than the bullish wave 3.
Until I see a tall monthly green candle, followed by a monthly red call (irrespective of size), that's the bearish call for me

Sorry about that, God thank you for giving me the grace to overcome landlord's wahala. I moved into my personal house last week, everybody join me and my family to glorify God for his mercies.

Wolf of Wallstreet is more of comedy self, no real lessons there.

As stated, this bros no know the meaning of volatility. Maybe back in 2008 the 10% limit wasn’t a thing.

How many minutes drive is your new house to your place of work?

Eg living at Ketu as a tenant but working at Victoria Island, now relocating to a personal house at Ijede Ikorodu na double wahala, unless you own the business and you do less than 20 hours work per week

The case of the man whose rent was just increased is a wake up call to Stock Market investors to be diversified and create predictable passive income from rents, coupons, dividends, royalties etc.

Build a house before the age of 50, even if you don't live in the house. If you don't like real estate or house ownership by age 50 your investment income should be at least thrice your rent and the utility bills on the accommodation.

The one thing I almost never hear anyone talk about in this place is dividend growth rate! This is a secret sauce of wealth generation! Notable increases so far,

MTN 19%+

Zenith 3%+

GT 3%+

UBA 13%+

Okomu 30%+

Total 15%+

The big banks are slow with their dividend growth, but their starting yield is high! With growths like these, what you need as an investor is to be consistent with your investing and let time do the rest!

Thanks.

Can you go a step further and analyse the dividend growth over a period of 5 to 10 years

As a matter of fact, government should do something about the housing crisis.

I am of the opinion that anyone who can comfortable pay his rent should be able to buy similar housing unit

My definition of comfortably pay his rent, is your rent is 20% or less of your annual household income

Government should give incentives to entrepreneurs who can build 1000 housing units and above per annum

I have been following you boss and your inputs here are apt.

The real estate sector in Nigeria still remain untapped. Increasing population and over population in Lagos, low government policy to solving the housing needs makes it good environment for investment. The mortgage banks and accessibility of funds should be made easy for citizens especially civil servants.

Thank God for you oh.
Moving into personal house for Abuja no easy again because of inflated cost of land and building materials.
The cheapest 3Bedroom semi-detached Duplex in an Estate within the satellite towns here na around 28Million naira for semi-finish/Carcass and 35Million for Basic finish.
How can a civil servant on minimum wage go fit afford one.

This bad Q1 result can slow the price climb shocked. Topline Revenue dropped instead of the increase of prior quarters, while expenses increased. Leading to bottom line profit cut in half. Room for those acquiring major stakes to ramp up more shares cheaply or what. Let's see what Mr Market will do.

What are the likely priorities for the incoming government to spur economic growth? What companies are best positioned as beneficiaries from the renewed focus in each sector?
