georgee: You have to use the adapter. And like he said, plug in the blue port. It’s usually marked WAN. |

seunpayne: Thanks a lot Cavendish and Seunpayne.. Aim now achieved CavendishPlex called on phone and we did it together... I owe that guy two bottles of Heineken and Nwkwobi anywhere I jam am I have achieved exactly what I have been trying to since Powerful speed down and upstairs. Before this connection, I was getting 43/45Mbps downstairs, but now it has increased and network is strong as well

Lol. I'll take you up on the Nkwobi soon. It's always a pleasure to help however I can. With that speed, now you're giving me all the reasons to work harder so I can afford Starlink especially now FiberOne has stepped on the gas pedal by frustrating their customers. georgee: |

georgee:do you get starlink 5ghz band on the new router? If yes, do all your devices detect the starlink 5ghz band of the new router |

georgee: Amazing. So I’ve never been hung up on speed tests. Starlink is fast! The only thing available that is faster is my office wifi and MTN 5G. One is only for work and the other hardly ever works. Everything I’ve thrown at starlink, it has handled effortlessly. Still waiting for heavy rain to see what the experience is like but so far…great buy for me 1 Like |

This Elon musk guy has finally broken the data cap barrier from other service providers with his cheap and quality services, but it still baffles me that the acceptability is still very low, could it be that people are scared? I just finished installing one for my office, mehn.. the speed is something else. Another interesting thing is the fact that the speed you are getting from starlink with its price cannot be compared with a fibre optic monthly subscription. Guys can we give this guy a publicity. Anyways I based in Abuja if anyone has a connect |
Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by georgee(m): 3:25pm On Apr 19, 2023 |
simeontos:Not that the acceptability is low.. It's the price for the starter kit that is the problem.. Imagine if the starter kit is around 100/150K.. E go don flood naija like pure water But don't get it twisted ooo.. Plenty people don onboard starlink.. Personally, the stuff dey give me joy cos i don too waste money on top yeye ISPs. Now I am happy and satisfied with my Starlink 3 Likes |

Snart303:So this roaming you talking about will I have to add it to my plans upon ordering/buying the router ? Or it’s a plan I can just include in my subscription monthly if I wish to ? |
Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by Bonzojoko: 10:41pm On Apr 20, 2023 |
georgee:another reason it's not popular in Nigeria aside the kit price is the whole you must pay in dollars thing and the need for 24 hours electricity. To some, buying starlink means they also have to buy an inverter plus battery and solar panels. We are able to buy it because we already own a means of getting 24 hours electricity. I am not complaining since more starlink users in Nigeria will lead to network congestion and slower speeds which will bring about the 1tb peak time monthly fair usage policy 1 Like |

ibawon: Please is the other sides with white stuff standing only on the aluminium roofing sheet? I don't seen to see nail line to signify there is wood underneath there? I'm asking as my friend intends to do a roof mount too and we are having difficulty in the install. |

Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by Bossman(m): 1:47pm On Apr 22, 2023 |
I agree. The need for 24 hours electricity is a huge factor. No power means no internet. As I have posted here multiple times...until the power situation in the country is resolved, the country will continue to lag behind. Everything runs through electricity. Constant electricity is critical! Bonzojoko: 1 Like |

Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by Bossman(m): 4:48pm On Apr 23, 2023 |
And majority do NOT have 450K to spend on internet. This clearly Buttresses my point. The price point of the device clearly eliminates most from being able to purchase. Hence, the reason it will not pickup in Nigeria. The few of you that can afford it...enjoy! Stanley08: |

Bossman:the fewer the starlink users in Nigeria, the better for us. I don't want slower speeds/network congestion or 1tb fair usage policy. I am sure no starlink user in Nigeria will want any of these 2 Likes |
