More importantly, the North is more politically savvy and trustworthy in politics as they have an advantage of a structured society for several generations (not western type though). Build real alliance with them and enlighten the educated illiterates within your constituency about the realities of democratic process (it is a game of numbers not morality).

The North watches your every move online and offline, just the same way you do but in a different way. They are trying to see if they can work with you, and the North will work with you if you sincerely work with them. The truth is that a good percentage of Yoruba have embraced Islam.Yorubas might have a Muslim father and a Christian mother. Most are not resolute in their belief system. They are not above South-South. They can't do without South-South. On North and West sides, they can't leave even if you give them one-year grace to leave those axis.
