Now let me make it clear amd simple for your comprehension. The Current Delta State today and Edo State as you know it, was once one big state known as Bendel state in the past. It was Divided to what we now know as Delta State and Edo State. Now the Question, as Bendel State was Bendel State Ibo? If you say Bendel was Ibo, you may be right but we must be quick to acknowlege that the Obaship of the Bini Kingdom is indeed rooted in Ibo ancestry. So there you have it. If Bendel was never Ibo, Delta was never Ibo but just as in current times as Lagos hosted and accommodated the Ibo and have now been faced with a most desperate decision to draw the line to protect and preserve their heritage so it is apparent that that much needed decision is needed at the Niger Delta. We have very close ties with our great Igbo brothers from other states,as such we see ourselves as one.
