Thanks I’m just starting out on this and doing it gradually as I follow the advice here. I had customers who needed me to deliver and pick up yesterday that’s why I didn’t want to go soo far.

The only one I canceled that was not worth is the airport end airport road as I don’t know the difference. I shouldn’t fall into the hands of those extortionist
You need to look for a sales rep to help with this.... This business will take your time or you split your days of working so as to be effective and concentrate because any small thing you go lose focus....

Yes I understand thanks. I use the car for pick
Up and delivery that’s why.
Please how do you deal at computer village?

Got an order there yesterday and I think the map was telling me to enter that otigba street which slot is located. The street doesn’t look like where cars go into even a car blocked the road at the junction, I just had to end the trip along the road and passenger paid.

Not sure if bolt can do anything but you can send them a message via support.

If the car has tracker and you know the tracking company, you can contact them to help you track the exact car location

Hello Uber drivers. Hope Nigeria is treating you well. I need your expert opinion on a serious decision I am about to make. I am looking at buying a Tokumbo 04 Camry or Corolla for e hailing business (Though I prefer Camry cos Corolla and theft issues scare me a lot). I last did the job back in 2020 (with a vehicle under hire purchase) so I have an experience driving round Lagos as well as using Google maps. I know a lot have changed since 2020 given the rice in petrol prices and car maintenance. I have had hire purchase offers but I just don't want to go back to my vomit again. I really would like to own my vehicle and drive to earn a substantial amount. Because of this, I was able to save some money to the region of #3•5 million from my petty contract works over the years. My question is do you think it's a wise investment to buy a vehicle for e hailing now bearing in mind the increasing fuel prices? Please I really need your honest inputs or suggestions. Thank you all.

GOOD EVENING!

My Honda Civic 2009 not starting but engine rolls.
We noticed every other icons or lights on the dashboard comes up except The BATTERY LIGHT.

The battery light doesn't ON when ignition is turn on.hence, the car won't start.

My electrician has done everything possible but still not working.

The rewire Said car doesn't shock at all and fuel doesn't get to nozzlesn or lights on the dashboard came up except The BATTERY LIGHT.

What should we do?

Note: we have scanned it but The machine couldn't find any fault on the car.

Open the bonnet and check the fuse box. One fuse is the problem.

I want to assume ur rewire is a good one, and has checked battery, ignition, kick starter, key sensor, fuel pump, and cold start switch etc.
If all these has been checked and certified working fine then maybe ur car has been locked with security. Does the car have immobilizer or tracker? Did u recently work on the engine??

To answer your question alone without considering other information on ur post I would say Yes, u can buy a good car within between 1.5m to 2.5m and use for ehailing. Transportation business will forever be relevant and profitable, so it's a wise investment.

Yes.it has immobilizer but no tracker and I recently dropped the engine to work on the timing chain.

so on friday I got a request from hakuna metata in ahmadu bello going to elegushi beach, as I arrived I saw 5 adults and 5 kids, I told the lady to other another ride so we will both share the passenger(5/5). now this is the gist.
I drive on uber and this was a surge less trip, the lady then requested on bolt. when bolt driver came, we left. when we got there, my fare was #2,300 and the bolt was #1,900. Does that mean uber is fairer than bolt to drivers, also the commission I paid was 5%

Boss when you say good car between 1.5 to 2.5 please be specify on the good car. So we your students can learn.

What actually crossed my mind when I saw 3.5m was why not continue with what help him save the money since 2020 and maybe e hailing on the side. Get a naija used car of not more than 1.5/1.8 and go into other investment or save the rest. On the flip, it is not as if 3.5m is much if he is not a man enough, but if he is a man enough and in between life struggles can still save 3.5m? Thumbs up.

Was there a discount given on the display page. I doubt if Uber is more expensive than Bolt.
BTW, Is uber now showing destination ? or they are still in their analog mode since 2015.

Let a professional check the immobilizer.
Also let a mechanic check if the timing is properly set.

Any Uber specified car between that price range is fine. The list of recommended cars has been extensively drawn out on this thread.

As for the other part; that is why I said I am just answering his question. U never know maybe the contract has finished or will stop coming. In a country like naija, where when ur contact leaves office all d benefits u enjoyed will stop.
Plus, He didn't say he wants to stop the contracts, he is looking at how to invest his money.
So without any pre-emptment, he can go ahead.

I didn't have that...on uber you can't click "arrive" you only arrive when you get to the location which I didn't.i was outside the gate with the passengers waiting for the bolt guy, so the uber app was still telling me one minute to pickup.
I don't know if the bolt was discounted sha

Fine, this is what you should have asked ab initio.

When I got to the luth canteen, I called and the wife picked and said they are coming out. I waited for like 10 mins and they didn't come out, so I called again and she said; "Pls my son, my husband is sick and he needs to eat and take his drugs. They are still attending to us". I entered the canteen and saw that she was 2nd on the queue, that's after calling and ascertaining that she was the one. I walked up to her and told her to do it 'take away', that I can't wait for him to sit here and eat! Time is money! She bought it and they entered the car and she pleaded for him to eat it in my car cos he needed to take the drugs.....I obliged.

I don't go about allowing people eat in my car. There are exceptional cases. That's why I said, we should be considerate. I will not pick any young man or woman and allow him/her start eating amala or any swallow in my car.

Na me get my car.....na wetin I like I go do. To each his own!
bro my partner just increased my remittance fee from 30k to 35k. I guess it is cos I remit frequently without stories. I am torn between returning the car and continuing with the car. Started using the car November last year. Talmabout alot of drivers are even offering to pay him 40k weekly.

This is not a case, do you guys have agreement? What are the clauses in the agreement? How long notice did he gave you before the new payment?

I knew list has been drawn, but I ask because you didn't specify between naija or tokunbo.

Well it is up to him to say if the contract is still on or not. Obviously there's money in e hailing, but I'll say to just get by and hooke's law sets in. One really have to be crafty, I use the word crafty in a bright sense to make the money. Inflation is biting seriously in the country presently. Japa will take drivers like 4 years to save the money UK or Canada money now.

Is it in the agreement? As long as the car is sharp and sound,Don't drop it, if you don't have another one waiting for you. 5k is marginal. If you are hardworking..
The best way to raise money for your own car and get experience is through rental.

Indrive is really putting up marketing campaigns ( billboards) across Lagos.
I was wondering 🤔 why there was no surge on Bolt around yaba/unilag after the rainfall today.
