I actually see Kevin De Bruyne as a converted midfield. That is, if De Bruyne was playing in the past, he would have been a winger.

That is why the term WINGFIELDER is used to describe Kevin De Bruyne.

While Zidane is what we would call a traditional creative midfielder.

So, they play differently but if I was to make a choice, I will take Kevin De Bruyne due to my affinity to the modern game, and how effectively he plays.

From this clip, I will take Kevin De Bruyne due to effectiveness. There is hardly room for that much dilly-dallying on the ball today. The ball moves at a more rapid pace.
