When this stat thing come up in terms of assists, one should also factor in the strikers or forwards in the teams...Bruno with a Haaland gets at least 13 assists in the league by now and KDB with our forwards would most definitely not be on that 16 assists..

If the trio of Fred,Mctom and Sabitzer are our midfield options in games next season, then ETH will fail woefully because he's that stubborn manager who just refuses to tweak his formation..

You’re not alone.

I’m not convinced about Kane or Osimhen.

We seem to either go for young players who’ve had just one very good season or ageing players who have had several good seasons under their belt.

Unfortunately , both categories often disappoint us. Thr younguns can’t maintain their previous form and the ageing players can’t do what they’ve been doing.

We should take a leaf from Man City’s recruitment strategy. We should be going after young players (22-25) who have basic football skills, have had at least 2 good seasons and can easily fit into our mentality and style.

Chelsea na big game but they’re poor and they’re coming to Old Trafford. Plus by the time we meet them we won’t be playing a game every 3-4 days.

If they bring intensity and we return it, there’s no way they’ll beat us.

The main reason we dropped points away at Arsenal, Liverpool, Sevilla and Tottenham was because we couldn’t maintain the intensity we started with. Plus injuries to our main CB pairing (vs Sevilla and Tottenham.)
