There's no disadvantage of being a Lecturer in Nigeria. In their circle if you fail to sleep with Lecturer A, and you borrow a course from another Dept, his friend their will fail you. This is a fact let's stop all these pretending

Some of you are advising him to go for the federal job because of hand out, forgetting that he is assistant lecturer under a lecturer, as assistant lecturer you will be selling the handout of the lecturer or professor you are under he is the one to determine the difference that he will give you. You dare not sell someone textbook apart from the person that has the course so bro go for the multinational company

What's your age and ambition? If you are young and ambitious you might want to go with the multinational to build up your CV. Less job security but your CV will ensure you are likely to get employed quickly again.

On the other hand if you like an easy life you can go with the government job which is stable but sounds boring.

The bolded if you don't do it in Nigeria today, you will die with nothing to show for it as a University Lecturers. Your Senate Collect hardship allowing, Newspaper Allowance, so lecturer should not collect handouts allowance.

Make friends and network. Job security is about who and what you know, and what you can do with those. Focus on making money, exploring opportunities, and investing

However, everything depends on what your goals are. There are many things to consider:

1. What is the rate of turnover at the multinational? Do people get fired easily when boss wakes up on the wrong side of their bed?
2. Do you have future plans to expand your education and move up in your career? You need a job that gives you time for that
3. What kinds of jobs are those? Are they both in your areas of competence and stuff you like to do? Burnout is real

Decide what your short term and long-term goals are, but keep in mind that a job that pays you 150K will still want to keep you engaged like a job that pays you 350K
