Since it's a Federal Poly, it the best because with 150k gross, having time for yourself cannot be over-emphasized
1. As a Federal lecturer, you can sell hand outs with reckless abandon (profit gotten from handouts can set up a business center, see 5 for further details).
2. Your grades are for the highest bidder especially when you set difficult questions.
3. You have opportunities for the students to do your bidding if you get my drift.
4. You can choose to come to class if you so wish.
5. Students MUST use your shop/business center for their photocopies and project work
6. Unlimited access to ladies skirts
7. Job security is guaranteed because you can falsify your age to prolong your stay in service.

Disadvantage
1. Strikes
2. Inability to send your kids (born and unborn) to private school

However, for private organization and a multinational at that, you have to be at your "A" game every time.
- Target's must be met
- Opportunity to grow in your career path
- Attending courses is a MUST
- Benefit package is rewarding

Demerits
1. Working late's nights to meet targets
2. Travelling a lot
3. Spend little or not time for family
4. No job security because you could be laid off

Conclusions:
Choose multinational over federal ploy because of strike, once you retire, to collect your pension na war
Kindly confirm if the 350k is net or gross

Modified
To those quoting me
What shameful? Why deceiving yourself or ourselves?

A case in study is ploy in commercial nerve center of Nigeria. Fashion Department from the Asst Lecturer down to the HOD they all collect bribe. It's an unwritten rule, it's either cash or kind or shall we move to Unilag, I don't want to mention the department but, you must sleep with that lecturer in your penultimate year. The man is currently a Dr and owns a school in Ikorodu, with which money if I may ask?

There's a federal Institution in the South East, the Lecturer teacher a very complusory course 4 Unit, you must make use of the wife's shop for all his photocopies or project work and the wife would stamp. His the HOD of the department today and a Dr or is it the one that was given Dr of enterprenueship from IU and used us(students) to by Morano Jeep. Leave story abeg

In other news
~Adamawa elections, someone was alleged to have collected bribe in excess of =N=2bn.

~River state a PDP politician was caught with $500,000 and a list of people to be settled (in that list we had INEC, Police etc)

~ Who are the REC in each state of the federation? Profs from University & you expect the University to be devoid of bribe grin, Use your tongue count your teeth. Who Dem catch na im be THIEF

Location?

150K in Lagos is not 150K in Kwara State.

Either ways, that amount is better than 70% earners in Nigeria

Important Note: If you're a young person, I'll say don't worry about job security for now, focus on working with the best minds out there in the industry because like and informed minds will push your thinking and goals higher. Make friends and network. Job security is about who and what you know, and what you can do with those. Focus on making money, exploring opportunities, and investing

However, everything depends on what your goals are. There are many things to consider:

1. What is the rate of turnover at the multinational? Do people get fired easily when boss wakes up on the wrong side of their bed?
2. Do you have future plans to expand your education and move up in your career? You need a job that gives you time for that
3. What kinds of jobs are those? Are they both in your areas of competence and stuff you like to do? Burnout is real

Decide what your short term and long-term goals are, but keep in mind that a job that pays you 150K will still want to keep you engaged like a job that pays you 350K

Just take a look at the advantages u listed for the lecturing job - all of the advantages there are either illegal, corrupt, fraudulent or immoral. Corruption has eaten deep into y'all senses. There's hardly any Nigerian that's not either criminally-minded or corrupt. You people truly deserve your leaders.

I'll go for the private sector job.

Government jobs are a no-no for me. Except very highly specialised professional agencies.

It's in the government offices you'd see people mocking you for speaking English. They'll make jest of you for dressing well. They'll persecute you for going extra mile to ensure things are done professionally.

Before you know it, they will initiate you into their waywardness and you'll start losing all your professional ethics and values. Someone up there has already started advising him to sell handouts and marks to the highest bidder. Yes! That's the lifestyle you'll end up with.

But you see that multinational, they'll stress the hell out of you, and at the same time, bring out the best in you.

You will work for every penny they pay you. When you eventually decide to take your career further, you'll be able to prove your worth to future employers.

With 350k per month, if you can be saving 200k, within 2 years, you might decide to find greener pastures.

Take the second job if you know you're ready to work your ass out to achieve your dreams. If you want to lazy around, and sell handouts and marks to lazy students, then you know what to do.

I wish you best of luck!

Who told you Ast Lecturers position doesn't have a tight schedule?
Writing of lecture notes and 75,% of the duties of the lecturer is on you. Marking of notes and assignments will some times be pushed to you..sebi na you wan assist. God help you if the lecturer is harsh and a lazy type, You'll work under pressure.

Now, how did I know this? So many years ago, I used to take some children home lesson and their mother was an assistant lecturer. She never had time to even go through their school work or assignments because she was always preparing lesson notes. She brings it ( lecture notes) home most of the time. So I was doing both home lesson and school work for them and had to charge her extra which she paid without complaining. She had a maid and grandma was also there to help.

You better take the 350k job and learn to manage the tight schedule. That lecture job will leave you penniless under two weeks ( I earn a little above that amount, so I know) the margin is too much Biko.

Look for a good nairalander and give the lecture offer.
Veryheartlessman. Oya, job dey o.
