What are we supposed to do with this piece of information??

But when Nigerians talk about the first Military coup, they hypocritically call it Igbo coup, forgetting that those people don't even agree to be called Igbos.
Lies..

Nzeogbu is Igbo. He said it himself during a live interview..

His middle name is even Ogochukwu; Igbo word for God’s Favours. Yet he’s not Igbo.

I won’t be surprised if Okowa comes out now and says he’s not Igbo after claiming he was Igbo during the electioneering campaigns.

Those people, with their Ikwerre brothers, are lost souls.

People from benin in edo state bares Ajayi, ojo,Alaba etc which are yoruba names but they are not yorubas and we agree with them.

No be by force abeg.

You guys should give it a rest, you are just creating tribal conflict between igbos and the SS, if he says he is not Igbo, it's better to respect it, stop asking him to change his name cos they bear same name with the Igbo people.
Even in Ijaw, we share few words with igbo but that doesn't make us igbo.
Make we learn to accommodate each other abeg a and respect their rights abeg.

Who asked him to change his name?

What we are saying is that he should tell the world the name of his tribe.

The funny thing is that if you ask Sunday Oliseh his ethnic group, he may have nothing to say

His surname "Oliseh" is just the dialect used in Abavo to say "Olisah", which is another name for God in Igbo

To each their own, Sunday Oliseh is free to claim Japanese if he likes

and both Oliseh and Olisah sounds like Oritshe the itskeri word for God and it also sounds like Orisha the Yoruba name for god

We thought Sunday Oliseh is from Igbo before this clarification.

I'm just here wondering why a Yoruba Muslim named Muikeem is bothered about the ancestry of a SSoutherner/SEasterner. You no get better things to do with your time?
I'm a Yoruba Christian and frankly I don't give two fvcks.
If no be Seun wey dey allow these ethnic slurs and bigotry here, people like you would have no jobs.

Just imagine this nonsense on a Thursday morning!!!

Who asked him to change his name?

What we are saying is that he should tell the world the name of his tribe.

He is not igbo, whether he decides to tell the universe his name or not does not matter

I'd advice you to travel to the SS region, it will do you some good when you know that there are people who doesn't see the need for tribal recognition due to how entagled the different tribes are.
There is little descrimination here among etnicities, therefore the need to start shouting your tribe is a nuisance to most of us and we have taken that life outside our comfort zones.

I had two roommates in school who was with me from 100level till final year, we are all from Rivers but I never knew what part of Rivers they came from until we graduated because it never mattered to us, as long as we knew that we are from Rivers State, that enough to consider ourselves as brothers.
2moro, if you as an igbo man asks me for my tribe, I will tell you it is not necessary, you might see me as some weird person, so will i see u as one, but the truth is our different cultures treats it differently.
Cultural diversity is the beauty of Nigeria and we should learn to see the beauty that try to descriminate.

Nobody would come for his head
This is 2023

Igbos are too special and unique for that

We all saw what happened in Lagos state during the elections...
Even fellow Yorubas were profiled as Igbos and were stopped from voting.. They don't care anybody from Edo downwards is Igbo.

Those tribal bigots in Lagos state and the the North are the people you should be explaining to why you aren't Igbo..
They know the difference between Edo and Igbo, Edo people don't go about insulting others and beefing others. All Nigerians know the difference.

Now Oritshe mean God in itsekiri.
Olisah is God in igbo
Orisha is God in Yoruba
Onishe is also a God.

It will not make any sense if one idiot from any of these tribes come out and say to the rest, "hey, we are of same tribe, if you refuse, then change that word cos it sounds like ours." That is absolute nonsense, just because you share some words with other tribe doesn't mean that tribe must be colonized

Lol, tell that to an Hausa or Yoruba man when running for presidency and see how they will vehemently remind you you are a CORE IGBO Man. For now, they will agree with you because you have nothing important at hand.

we never cared about how they see us.
It's not like we hate the igbos, we are just educating people that you can bear igbo names in SS and not be Igbo.

Anybody weh still want to associate us with the igbos is free to live in his ignorance.
Our problem is that, when we tell the igbos that we are not igbo, we need a good response and expect them to see the beauty in our difference and also the uniqueness and appreciate it. What other people thinks is not our concern. Our problem is the igbos who we share this with, we expect them to understand us more as they are closer to us

I think ngaji is spoon to both dialects too, devil is ekwensu, there are many sha.

But if it's name, I think except the ijaw that we are, we share names with Mexicans and british more than we share with any tribe in Nigeria
