I haven't gone for capturing. I don't have disparity on my NIN and application. I only observed that my NIN verification wasn't matked like others.

Is there possibility for them to spot disparity in my NIN and application when i haven't come for capturing? Or was it because i haven't paid for NIN verification fees? I only paid 26k online

I’m going to need my passport really soon, want to know if I should wait till the collection date or go earlier to find a way to sort it.

My 20-year-old nephew is temporarily staying with me. This is his passport tracking this morning (5 May 2023). He applied online in March 2023, and he selected 24 May 2023 for biometric or capturing at Ikeja (Alausa) passport office. With the newly introduced NIN verification fee of 1000 Naira, NIS can now verify passport applicants' NIN before they appear for biometric or capturing. The NIN service, fees and the new NIS process went live on 1st April 2023. The internet is there for you. Do your research diligently.

I was and am still concerned for the OP's plight, I hope he makes necessary correction before his appointment day. I still stand on my view, there’s disparity between the data provided on the OP's passport application form and NIN, hence the "X” mark.

So, since my nephew didn't pay for the (speedy) NIN verification fee because he did not apply on or after 1st April 2023, his NIN will be verified when he captures and the box will either be marked X or ✓.

Paid was marked
Application sent was marked
Application recieved was marked
Ready for enrolment was marked


But NIN verification wasn't marked. It showed pending for verification, something like this ❌

Any cause to worry about?

Request NIMC to confirm to you that your NIN is active and in the National Verification Service Portal.

Alausa is till in January as at yesterday 4/5/23 may be you should go by July because I captured in January I got my passport yesterday since March 8 which is my collection date got captured at Alimosho on March 15th, but Alausa does their printing.
