Good morning everyone, please does anyone know how I can locate my lawyer? Its been 7months since interview and still no lawyer. My husband called one of those imigration office in Germany and he was told that there has been no update from the lawyer. That the system just shows that the verification has be initiated but it hasn't been completed making me come to the conclusion that the lawyer is the one delaying my process. I have sent emails to the embassy and no response,I feel crippled and I don't know what to do 🥺🥺🥺

Have you tried to call the embassy? since they re not replying emails.

Those that got the embassy respond to their queries...how did you do it?

.l can relate dear. All you need to do is call them from monday to thursday starting from 9am. Lawyer will call you asap with God grace.

This can be so frustrating, the delay is obviously from the lawyer. Please just continue sending mails to the embassy that you still haven't been contacted by the lawyer, hopefully they'd reach out to the lawyer for you. But I don't think you can search for your lawyer yourself. I pray you get contacted soon.

Dear Sis 7months is a long time to cause one serious frustration. My own frustration has began to build. Mine has been four months. I just sent them a mail today that I haven't seen my lawyer yet. You can send them a mail too. I ll try calling them on Monday too. The only issue is most times the customer service person isn't very nice. Although I called in the past as regards other issues not visa issues and she wasn't so nice.
When I dialed the embassy number, it said "for visa issues press 1, for othe issues press 2" . When I press 1, it doesn't connect. I ll try again on Monday. Wahala no too much? All these shall come to pass someday.😟

Gave birth October 2021….. my baby clocked 2months, i booked for him as well)

July 2022.... We both went for interview...

October 2022... Got a call from the lawyer,

November 2022.... We met the lawyer...(he had already gone to the north to verify my primary and secondary school).. cos i was born and bred in KD State, then relocated to Onitsha...
( sometimes, Northern verifications is another factor for delay, some lawyers are scared to travel to the north for an applicants sake)

.
February 2023.... Verification complete mail was sent...

March 23th 2023.... Embassy requested for our passports, travel insurance and date... Which we sent immediately..

April 3 2023.... Our documents arrived with stamped Visas

April 26... We left Nigeria and landed in Frankfurt 27th April 2023..


I must confess, this group helped me mentally, when i got to know i wasn't waiting alone, there was some sort of relief 😮‍💨....

Im so sorry to hear this, I heard once a lawyer has been assigned to your case, whether in sickness or in health, your case will remain with him. Even if he goes on leave, the persons’ case remains untouched till he returns. I honestly don’t know how true this is but with the way there’s delays here & there, I’m moved to believe so.

Yea, she’s never nice + most times, she refers you to the mail section. I found that responses via mail are more reliable than what she gives so I stick to mail. She most likely will tell you to keep waiting lawyer will contact you. Sigh

Someone's lawyer died in the process. That was the reason for the long silence. Keep writing or calling the embassy for answers.

In our whatsapp group, Someone's lawyer died in the process. That was the reason for the long silence. Keep writing or calling the embassy, ignore their attitude.

Congratulations ma! I'll also be travelling next week with two kids . Please how was your trip with a child? The thought of the stress alone is giving me serious anxiety .

we booked in April, we are still expecting date.

Finally my documents, passport with visa stamped has been received. I can't believe I'm typing this right now. I used to pray and wish for this day and God has done it for me.

Hello dear. My
husband is also a DAAD Scholar.
We were also given the letter from DAAD which we took to the interview also. The letter highlighted that
I would do my Deutsch kurz in Germany on arrival with the amount stated for which I am to use to enroll even to the highest level of I want.
So here's my breakdown but have it in my that everyone's application is different.

Email to apply for Visa: 3rd March 2022
Email with Appointment was sent to me: 16th March 2022
Appointment Date given to me: 6th April 2022
29th of April I got a mail to submit Affidavit of reconciliation of names for my Children
18th May I got a mail to send 150k for verification. Meanwhile I went with the money on my interview day but was told because my husband is a DAAD scholar I don't need to pay. But to my surprise I was asked to pay for it after a month.
I waited for the verification and got tired.
The greatest shock I received was an email to bring an A1 language Certificate on 6th September. I wasn't expecting this requirement cause I thought I wasnt supposed to submit that one since DAAD already said I will do it on arrival. But they insisted I submit the certificate. I registered for a Deutsch kurz online for 2months.
August 10th I got a call from a lawyer but the lawyer refused to come. He kept giving me excuses and raising my hopes.
October 28 I got another call from a different lawyer and He came and finished the verification on 31st October. I went to Goethe to write my A1 exams in December and I passed. I submitted my certificate thesame month.
I recently got a verification complete mail on the 9th of January. They said they're awaiting the final decision from the foreign office in my state and would get back to me. So I'm still waiting...
German Visa process isn't a joke. Patience and Prayers in needed. Some people's process is faster than others. So just keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best. I wish you a quick Visa process.

I have been meticulously following all directions but the system hasn't been releasing new interview slots for tourist visa at all. Upon enquiry they say they are fully book. Kind of confused. Can anyone please help??

At midnight Sunday - Thursday. You have to be very intentional. Have all document details ready, refresh at exactly 12 and then you will see the next available dates. Usually three weeks ahead.

Much easier to download the forms to your PC and fill them offline. Then print the filled/completed form and sign by hand.
